Drumgenius have no export option. Audioshare and AUM do not see it as source to record loops. iMazing on PC do not have access to Drumgenius directory to copy loops files. Maybe is some way but how? Workaround is to connect some audio interface to jack port / usb-c, play and record it, but I realize that's not what you are asking.
ps. Drumgenius works OK on iPhone, but don't play loops on iPad (Play preview, but after download loops - don't play it). It is not customized to work with dark mode also - don't display description of the functions in the app. I reported it to the developer of the app.
Thank you.
It’s a real shame as Drumgenius has some great loops. Even just a wee tiny bit of AB3 compatibility would make it awesome...
@LuisMartinez is reggae drummer up next with the export multitrack functionality?
still can’t get things to work. i got one setup of midi app and rock drum to work together but the keys to activate the drums where 2 octaves off from what rock drum had them assigned to. hopefully Aum or rockdrum figure it out soon
Contacted the dev and got a quick reply:
Any impressions of the new IAPs?
I really like the Mike Portnoy kit. definitely worth the cash. i haven’t tried the other yet
What do the new "drummers" do? Are these new kits, new styles, or both?
New styles, one new kit each. I have not bought them myself but this is what I understand.
Are the new kits dry or roomy?
Mike is here 👉
@LuisMartinez Just picked up the Bonham IAP.. 👍 Love it.. Exactly what I needed.. He is now my permanent Rock Drummer.. Thank you..
Impressions? What's Bonhamy about the playing, kit?
Could you do a quick demo?
Just some audio would be great.
Please?
The fills are Bonham inspired as are the jamming aspects.. very much in-the-style-of..
for example - you’ll hear Bonham triplets on the kick during some of the fills and/or jams.. and super tasty tom rolls.. There’s no new patterns added here.. But there already are Zep type patterns in RD..
As far as the sounds.. well you get a completely new sound set.. Compared to the (new) Mike version (above), John’s Kit is definitely more open + roomy, which is exactly what I’d expect.. the hihats are a more open + washy sound (bigger = lower in pitch), not as tight sounding as some of the other sound sets.. If I want tight hats, I’ll use Funk Drummer.. The kick + toms sound HUGE + deep (bigger than normal drums which will naturally sound lower in pitch).. the snare sounds like a Ludwig Supraphonic.. typical Bonham Kit..
I’m sure Luis will have a demo of John next.. I guarantee it..
It’s the sounds I think of when I think “Rock Drummer”.. now they’re finally here.. 👍 and I’m thrilled!
Had to clear up some Dropbox space.. try this.. running through FAC Transient because.. I always do..
Rock Drummer settings
Down in a Hole - 120bpm
Intensity = 50
Jam = 33
Swing = default (25%-ish)
Fills = every 4 bars

@royor
Thank you!
Sounds pretty rockin.
Great to hear these demos.
I have to write a correction:
The Drumgenius plays loops on the iPad correctly, I don't know why didn't want to play the first time.
I got response from Developer that dark mode compatibility will be soon in next updates. About compatibility to play with others apps like hosts (eg. audiobus, aum) or daw (eg. garageband) it take a longer time but it is planed as well.
Thank you, @royor. LZ and the Beatles are my favorite bands and Bonham is my favorite drummer, so this is great news.
Would I buy a “Richard”? Of course.
@CracklePot @dokwok2 @PhilW You’re welcome.. I suppose I should’ve included some ride cymbal action and side-stick.. I think you get a pretty good idea of the 🥁 sound anyway..
Bonham + Zep are tops in my book too.. 👍
I’d love to see a few more drummers in RD.. No doubt Mitch would have to be included.. I’d buy a Richard as well.. hmmm.. who else? 🤷♂️
There’s still something about rock drum machine that sounds very “machine-like,” and I don’t think Funk Drummer sounds the same way. I have rock drum machine too, but something just doesn’t do it for me. Funk drummer, on the other hand, is one of my most important bass practice tools.
Chad — but he'd probably fit better in Funk Drummer....
This is John 👉
Will upload some demo tomorrow
More John 👇
I love it ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙌🏼☝️🙏
Hey guys is there a way to trigger fills and live pads with a midi controller?
Yes
