  • Finally the bananas inside Xequence's MIDI editor can have any shape for my British customers ;)

  • On the one hand it’s nice to escape from it on here, but on the other - weird no-one’s talking about it, since the repercussions will affect us in many ways, as musicians, as well as in our day to day lives.

30 years ago the music world would be pumping out songs of protest, and holding concerts. Now we retweet a couple of memes.

Probably best to keep politics off the forum but yeah does seem weird that no chat on here about it

Man don’t even bring this topic up on a music message board. I’ve had to move country two times in the last 3 years because of this shit.

  • It does seem like Brexit and the how people in various countries decide to navigate their autonomy and cooperation with other countries will impact trade and international standards which will have a direct effect on electronic musicians.

  • Last I heard they couldn't even decide if the ballot papers for today would be pink !

Not many people trust or believe what politicians say- I think most people accept that and just get on with their lives the best they can.
The reason that there is nothing done about the minimal taxation that the huge corporate companies make is because many of the politicians are at it themselves with their own investments- advised on by their accountants (there is no duty for them to make public the nature of their investments in the UK anyway).. and the reason that the media don’t make more of that scenario is........ yes you’ve guessed it- most of them are at it as well.
Meanwhile the disadvantaged who are already struggling to make ends meet get squashed even further to make up for the deficit that has been left behind once they have had their take. The politicians themselves don’t really care about Brexit- it wont really affect them too much whatever the outcome- they will still be well off- and their own selves are of most interest to them.

That's completely untrue. I work with several politicians who are very upset about Brexit and doing everything in their power to try to stop it.

  • I loved the report of the French politician who called her cat Brexit, because it miaows to be let out, but when she opens the door it just sits there....

Absolutely, from travel, to taxes to buying equipment...it's a massive change.

    its totally absurd.
So Britain wants out of the EU but wants all the pros that comes with the EU. :D dream on England 🤪
maybe they should have had a look at the world map before they made that dreadful decision.
its a long way to America; as if they had not crept deep enough inside Americas ass.
Do Business in London? nah. everybody is packing their bags for Frankfurt. lol
So they ordered that shit sandwich and now they don't want to eat it.

You're putting it as UK was the only party to lose out. Common folk will be affected on both side and if you haven't noticed it was 50/50 so taking issue with the whole nation is rather absurd.

If you have politicians for years blaming everything on EU and immigration and then call a referendum, no surprise its gone that way.

If it's soft nothing much will change.
If it's hard rich will get richer and poor will be poorer.
I'm generally a soft boiled kind of guy.

  • They decided on green...for the ballot papers that is....good to see they are making the important decisions.

lol its so easy to blame everything on Brussels
and its a lot easier to blame every little shit on immigrants
if you fall for that kind of stuff you get what you deserve, sorry

But half of the country did not fall for that kind of stuff. What about those people?

I gotta be honest - not that I'm one to take pleasure from someone else's misery, but with the [expletive deleted]-show going on in the US right now, Brexit is a welcome distraction.

Watching Britain fall apart is like staring into our own future on the other side of the pond. I find the whole back and forth delightfully entertaining, but only because I'm laughing while Rome D.C. burns.

A whole lot of self-inflicted suffering going on here and there.

they lost. thats the way democracy works. ;)

No shit. But they still ‘deserve’ this ?

Yep - we can all see what's happening and yet no one can do anything to stop it. It's the world's slowest train wreck happening on either side of the Atlantic.
