Everytime I open this app and select a preset within octachron, AUM CPU spikes over 113% and glitches out. Using it to drive fractal bits

It's happening with previously saved presets so maybe they're broke in the update. Because starting from scratch is running fine
How do you assign cc modulation in Octachron? I have it driving MVO8, and I would love to modulate the delay on the snare. Any ideas?

also I don't intend to "kill" Octachron in the future, it's just that this is a side project and things take time. 
hope in general you all appreciate the recent update of Octachron. Im really sorry that updating the app takes a lot of time, also sorry for not always responding here. But im really thankful to all the feedback im getting from this community here
Im currently working on a fix that addresses @auwerk s problem where old DAW presets were not working. I am really sorry this happened. Its due to a stupid typo on my side and should not happen.
Because of an identifier the current version (1.1.0) is detected as a different app than the old version. So the preset system within octachron is still working. It's just that DAWs can't load the octachron plugin in this case. I will change this identifier back in the upcoming version (hope to release on Monday, it's already submitted for review) which means that there will one version (1.1.0) of octachron that will not be detected by DAWs correctly when loaded presets. So if you save rhythms with this version, make sure to save the file within octachron so you can load it after the update.
In short. If you have DAW presets which use Octachron 1.1.0, make sure you save the Octachron presets within octachron. 😞

I’ve saved some presets in the stand-alone (previous to this update) and I just noticed that they aren’t in the AU version. Has it always done this?
I also just tried to save a preset in the AU and it doesn’t show in the stand-alone. Normal?
I only tested this inside of AUM..

Yep, started standalone first, no presets at all, loaded AUv3 in AUM, again, zero presets .
I just sent an email to the team about this. I just picked up the app a bit over a week ago so I haven't lost that much, but going forward if this becomes a pattern I don't know how I'd keep using the app.
Edit: I see the note now from reinerspass about the app typo causing preset issues. Much respect for having to deal with Apples hyper-controlling store infrastructure... small things like this are so hard to mitigate with the options they provide...

It can send midi cc per step and can do ratcheting which Rozeta XOX and rhythm cant. I use all three.

@tahiche It has a scale mode.. so.. yes it can do melody + chords.. limited to the octave you choose (or 8 tracks)..
You can customize the scale. It has a ton of them in the settings. It would be great with more lanes for melodic parts though. Could become the AU xynthesizr we’ve all been waiting for.
It’s better than xox. XOX is great but with Octachron You can do doubles, triplets, and quads, on a single step. It also has Individual probability, individual velocity per step. Only limitation is 16 steps, but you can chain up to eight patterns

Can you paint notes in like xynthesizer or is it single note entry? It looks iPad only for now, any signs that it might become universal?

Yes you can. It’s made for drums but works just as well on notes. But yes iPad only.
