Time to re-install it again. Thanks for the heads up.

  • so many presets now! yesss!

for those looking, go to the banks tab , bottom left hamburger, and then each bank is full!

  • Sweet update. iCloud is super, and import/export.

  • Massive update.
    Thanks!

  • Thank you! Great classic synth.

  • Awesome update, thanks!

  • Hello,
I tried to import J3PO Signature OB-Xd Patches from desktop (Mac) with no result. All pots on every patch are on null position. Is it a bug? Or patches are too old?

Massive update 1400 new presets. New preset management system and last but not least ability to import and export presets from desktop version! What an update!

  • Fantastic update! So many sounds.. 🤪 Thank you.. 🙏

  • Has anyone had any luck getting OB-Xd to work with Kai's KB-1 Keyboard Suite?

It doesn't show as an option for me when I add a source for a new keyboard.

Would have been nice if that update can with a keyboard as well. At least I have AUM.

You can use the KB-1 and Ob-xd, but need Ob-xd Auv3 in AUM.
Set Kb-1 Output to AUM and Midi Sources in AUM set to 'AUM' Destination.

It's weird, no other ios keyboard recognizes the Ob-xd. Maybe there is a setting somewhere in the app, but I can't find it.

It looks like it might not be an IAA app and seems not to publish a virtual MIDI port.

  • Yeah, it's really weird.

And from what I understand you can only use one KB-1 keyboard instance within AUM, so that kind of defeats the genius of KB-1 in the first place.

Guess I could try bringing the issue up with Jorge Reales and hopefully he can help.

I really love OB-Xd and being able to port multiple instances within KB-1 would be an awesome creative tool for the box

I’ve used multiple kB-1 instances in AUM..including two minutes ago.

  • Hmmm, I guess I'll have to do some YouTube research on KB in AUM.

Just purchased both over Black Friday, so I'm in the beginning of the learning curve... 🤓

You could use KB-1 outside of AUM and send its keyboards to different channels in AUM .

Multiple kB-1 work fine in AUM.

Interesting... It works OK on my iPad in Zenbeats... Would you try to switch off the ‘Force 44.1kHz’ in the audio settings?

Working now suddenly. Did a restart of Zenbeats and some re-scans and... voilà.

I downloaded OB-Xd right when it came out and what a mess it seemed to be. But the OB sound was clearly there so I figured in time things will get sorted out and here we are. We have well-sounding Oberheim X emulation as an AUv3 with 1400 presets. Synth heaven!

    Well done Jorge!

Thanks for the info about KB-1 in AUM, @espiegel123! Worked on it without success last night, and then I saw @Gavinski's new all about AUM video today (with the whole MIDI input section) and it finally all came together!!!

A huge thank you to both of you!

Out of curiosity, what was the issue?

    Glad it helped!

  • @espiegel123, well, I've never created anything but the most basic AUM set-ups in the past — just a single app with an effects chain — mostly creating virtual pedal boards with mastering for my guitar explorations.

You let me know numerous instances of KB-1 could be utilized in AUM, and @Gavinski showed me exactly how to do it.

It's one thing to know something is actually possible, and a bonus when you serendipitously discover exactly how to do it, so this was an excellent day thanks to the both of you!

I feel like Geddy Lee with multiple keyboards at my disposal. Now I need to dig up that Taurus bass pedal app and I'll be set!

Did you ever find a solution to this issue? I don't see any responses to your post other than mine.

I'm looking into importing J3PO's patches as well into the IOS app. I can't find a manual.

    Hi!
    Maybe I'll write to J3PO.

An earlier post mentioned a Banks manager was added. I can't find that either. I just see a Presets window with a big grid of presets.

I'd use this app more but without a manual, bank management, no way to load J3PO's presets, it's just way too easy to shift my attention to other polysynth apps.

Here is how I do it:

    1. Select Import Bank

    1. Select the FXB file

    1. When it's imported, select Banks

    1. Select the J3PO bank

How did you get the hamburger icon to appear on the bottom left? I'm guessing that's how you got that popup menu with Import Preset, Import Bank, etc.

BTW, this iPad is on IOS 14.2. Are you running a different version?

Scroll to the bottom using the woodgrain.

I tried touching the woodgrain on the right, and the left. Does not scroll. Does not respond to any finger movement at all.
