Does this have a wide range of presets or is it a roll your own affair?

    ~120 presets in different categories.
Doug had a live-stream about it some time ago playing thru some of the presets...

Cool thanks. Looks like it could be a delightful AU

It's very low CPU. ~1-5% on my iPad Air 2.
The basses are quite nice with a bit 'DX Flavour' to them.
For creative uses the LFOs goes insanely fast compared to other iOS synths (~1Khz) and the fast LFO is nice for various effects.
There's 3 LFOs although I wish the 'delay' for the LFOs was more like 'fade in'.

It's in no way 'perfect' but plenty of fun :)

  • Just add Rozeta LFOs @Samu

Doesn’t help if the LFOs need to be controlled by the notes being played.
Also Rozeta LFOs are quite ‘slow’ in comparison :)

ApeMatrix is also quite fun but I do wish there was a way to optionally sync the LFOs with note-on(ie. reset the LFOs ‘phase’). Right now they are all ‘free running’.

A simple option to change the LFO delay to LFO fade in would do wonders :)

Another recommendation to get it. An example below from one of my posts using Phase84 for bass. It made everything gel together.

  • Wow! I really like this syhth, at this price is amazing indeed

    Thanks!

  • At this price this a great buy, it exceeded my expectations. I had a CZ 5000 back in the day and sold it a few years back didn't miss it , hissy outputs, noisy chorus, labourious programing, mainly naff sounds .... Bass thou had something special and this app has got that Bass sound and more too.

  • Picked it up (how could I not at this price?), sounds great. Reminds me ever so slightly of the CZ-101 I bought in high school.

  • Decent sounds a plenty, well worth a look & listen.
The controller pads on the perform page are fun, you can really push some of the ‘tubed’ presets to tasty extremes.

  • As usual the developers need to pay their apps some love, look at Table Top, what a waste of app.

  • I love this synth!!! Thanks for the great deal!❤️❤️❤️

Really wish the performance settings like the groove gate would get saved with the preset. No biggie but is there another app that can do the gating thingy that one can select in the performance page? Love that!

Does this work if you're running iOS13.3? There are several bad 1-star reviews of this that say iOS13 broke it... and, there hasn't been an update in 6 months.

I know many of you like to stay behind with your iOS updates, so can anyone running iOS13.3 confirm if this works or not?

One reviewer wrote that it worked and sounded great until iOS13.3, but now it's mostly crackles. Others say it doesn't work at all after update to iOS13.

So hard to tell from reviews though, as there's typically a high rate of user ignorance, or users trying to squeeze the last bit of usefulness out of old legacy hardware/software.

The sequencer on the controller pads page doesn’t play in AUM. Anyone else or am I missing something?

  • Everything working fine for me on iOS 13.3

  • I’ve only briefly dabbled with Phase84, but no issues on 13.3 here, either.

  • I think it’s an AU thing but in standalone works. IOS 13.3 here.

  • @skiphunt Picked this up the other day.. used in AUM + Stand-alone.. iOS 13.3 and really loving some of the tones from this.. 👍

Make sure to assign the sequencer to the amp and/or the shaper.. top right.. just beside the tweak and gate buttons.. it all works fine here..

  • Just watched The Build series of videos with Louis from Retronyms.. worked as a quick how-to guide for me..

I bought it yesterday, no issues in iOS 13 for me. I was using Gestrument as a controller on transit this morning.

@ahallam @royor picked it up last night while still on sale (as of writing this... looks like it's still on sale).

Felt dumb buying yet another synth... but, it really is somewhat unique in sound and those x/y things are really fun. Glad I got it. :)

Also, all working fine for me and no issues whatsoever on ios13.3 too on a 10.5 Pro. No crackles or any of the issues reported in the appstore reviews.

  • Just saw this mentioned in another thread, hadn’t heard of it. Wondering for those who have all (or at least two) of them, how this compares to Shockwave and NPD?
