@DaveMagoo Awesome. Yeah, it was actually a tough one to figure out at first. Of course Sonosaurus knew what the problem was within a few minutes. Seems like Cubasis has something quirky going on with their sync when in loop mode, regardless of the app you're running into it really. Glad it's working better for you now.
Cubasis's MIDI clock (NOT used with IAA) is also notoriously jittery, as you will see in the display of any app receiving it.
BUT, in general DrumJam still manages to sync to Cubasis pretty well for me via MIDI, despite the jitter. @richardyot, it works best if you start playback from song start or at least on a bar boundary. The first time let it run for a few bars so DJ gets a good lock on the tempo. Then stop, relocate to start and do playback again. Also, make sure all Clock midi input is OFF in DrumJam's midi setup, only enable it in Cubasis' settings.
And yes, when using IAA in Cubasis, do not use the loop mode if you are trying to maintain sync with any IAA clients... their looping is not sample accurate. Internally they are consistent between their tracks and their metronome, but not accurate in the absolute sense, nor does the transport info given to IAA clients unambiguously let us adjust to whatever they are actually doing (AFAICT).
@sonosaurus thanks for the valuable tips. Appreciate the info.

Yeah, I think this is the more creative 'live' area of ios music making that gadget will struggle to cover (at least until AB2 release). Last thing I've tried is to have drum jam and arpeggiating sunrizer on the input with turnado in the middle and free running mtdaw in the output slot with a midi controller connected routed to sunrizer. This way I could stay mostly with turnado page, tweaking sunrizer settings with physical knobs on the controller and occasionally going to drum jam for some drum solos even though being the acoustic percussion player I find that a little mechanical. Anyhow, it was a lot of fun and plenty of real time sound manipulation (turnado sweeps and sunrizer tweaks simultaneously).
I also like the addition of the drop setting.
Is there swing or can you swing it with midi? I hope that's not a too dumb of a question.

There is no swing in the app, mainly because applying it to the audio loops in realtime (although probably possible) isn't ideal. If you are only using the pad kits, you'll have to drive it by some other midi sequencer/drum app externally to get any swinging.
In other news, it was brought to my attention that hitting the Save button on iPhone/iPods causes an instant crash, and unfortunately that is true! Ugh. I'll be submitting a bugfix update very soon, so keep your eyes peeled for anything else that I can include in it.
Thanks for the reply
@Sonosaurus: thanks, those tips helped a lot. There is still some drifting in the BPM meter, within a couple of decimal points, but it's much better than before.
Bug-fix update v1.2.1 is available now.
If you were kind enough to have rated/reviewed v1.2, be sure to go back and refresh that after you grab this update... it really helps make it show better in the store listings. Thanks!
I really like DrumJam,I've been waiting for it to go on sale so that I could try it.
I thought it was an app that just replayed a single audio loop and you play along with it.
how wrong could I've been DrumJam is more like a multitrack audio player with built in sample playback and a lot of adjustable parameters.
Gonna try the new Bedlam feature looks good.
The midi implementation is excellent and this is now one of my favourite apps for drum loops and even though it's nolonger on sale I sent it as a gift to my Dj producer son.
Well Done @sonosaurus
I finally have a new demo video ready, this one dedicated to the new BEDLAM feature:
Enjoy!
.
I still having problems with the drum store: no packs available?

Are you sure that your networking is working at the time when you start the app? What country are you in?
Yes, I'm sure. I am in Spain.
