Thanks, just had a chance to go deeper into it.. It’s not just an app for me, it’s an instrument. Holding down a pad should record ‘what and how you play’ the sample in record mode (for variation of that sample), sometime a little long and sometimes a quick pluck. The long press as is takes away that playing ability.. Early days yet..
How does one save the sample (loop) as a bank.. can’t seem to save the loop after it is chopped to pads? Thanks..
Not at all!
Yeah, will just use host sync and mute loops. For now will also be using external drum machine and xequence, with sequenced samples in EGP. Have to make a track soon.
Just noticed something. I had midi learned all the pads in a kit in NanoStudio (to control them its slate and record the midi there.)
When I added another instance, all the midi learned pads in my first instance reverted back to the app default.
A couple different requests:
1.adding a new instance should not interfere with note assignments in the other instances.
2. I’m sure there is a reason for it, but I find the default midi note assignments confusing (and hard to get on with when using anything outside the app to control or sequence it)
3. Could we turn off velocity sensitivity on the pads? I’m planning mostly on sequencing this from outside (I play off the grid and I get that may not be within the scope of this app), but it might be nice for other users.
Unrelated request...could there be a pad copy option? Maybe you hold down the copy button and you can then drag a pad onto another one?
This is still such a killer app, really solves a lot of issues in my workflow!
If we’re being greedy...auto advance on midi learn for note assignments. Just hit the 1st pad and you can run through all controller notes you want to assign with one app button press.
an you make this app have the ability to sit in the fx slot of aum, so that audio from other channels could be fed into eg pulse? that would make this the ultimate sampler
@RajahP after you chopped a loop you can save your custom drumkit. Press the save button->drumkit->'+' icon in the top-rigth corner
@bcrichards yes the MIDI map on different instances must be different, that's a bug (I'm gonna fix it)
About pad velocity, I can add an option into settings to disable it
@d4d0ug the MIDI map is saved in your drumkit, so just save it and when you reload it you have your assignment
I thought the same this morning. It’d make it the ultimate recorder/sampler
Forgive me......but what is a 'fox slot' in AUM?
Quick question before I dive into this app....once you have imported samples and sliced to pads, done some editing, added FX etc....can you easily get the sliced and processed samples back out ?
I am asking because I would want to use this for building samples to go onto Electribe Sampler 2..combined with the new SD card functionality in Files app this could be a winner for me.
lol . i meant Fx slot. ..... i wish it had a fox slot..... sounds cool. 😆🦊

Thanks, recallable midi mapping preset templates would also be a great addition for workflow, especially when we get midi out. So you can load/change assignments without changing samples.
iOS13 Screen recording of my WaveSHAPER synth and audio imported and sliced in EG Pulse ... coming very soon

Wow that’s awesome 😸
What a time to be alive.
Thanks for clarifying
Chilling in the Fx slot like Koala, oh the possibilities 🤯
@bounce screen recorder gives you a lot of possibilities too...also I'm adding m4a supports
Loving all the work your doing on EG Pulse for us @ElliottGarage
I was wondering if you had ever looked at the 1010music BlackBox device? There are some cool features it offers which might fit in nicely with EG Pulse. Things like:
. Play samples Chromatically
. Random Play generator of slices
. Time Stretching and Pitch Adjustment refinements for samples
. Midi Out control
...and a few others
Here’s the video:
@echoopera time stretch already there and midi out and play chromatically are in the next update I'll take a look
Yep. I know some of the features are there...just wanted to provide a few items in the list to gain your interest 🤪
You’ve given us so much with EG Pulse. It’s a dream come true 👊🏼™️💕
Thanks for everything.
Got it.. Thanks.
@ElliottGarage I'm just smiling when I see this. I myself is a software developer too and this is how you integrate with already existing technology.
I'm receiving so many nice feedback...it's really great
Super great dev
Helped me out today, with email support, very fast and helpful
Now off to do a 5 star review on app store
Is drag-and-drop the only way to get a new sample onto a pad?
Yeah this is basically Blackbox1010 on iOS in AU!
And @ElliottGarage while i provide some relaxation time for you in the form of YouTube, have you seen this awesome review by Accurate Beats on Serato?
