For those who haven't used the slide over function to access files in the Files app, here's a quick how-to for getting your loops into Pulse.
Open Pulse.
Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open the Dock.
On the Dock, touch and hold the Files app that you want to open, then drag it to the screen.
It can be slid around by grabbing the top of its window.
Also now you can open the sample editor with a longpress on one of the 16 pads and you can then drag your sample there

looks cool but getting crashes when i click to assign slices to pads. must be a little bug in there still but once it is squashed it’s gonna be very useful app

Can you sample in and build drumkits in AU mode (I'd guess you'd shove him in the fx slot in AUM or whatever look), or do you have to do it standing up alone? I've just sussed out how to do it with the DigiStix feller, but weirdly you can't sample into an empty slot, it has to have something in it already.
I'm jealous of the sampler section in this one, might have to wait for a sale or summat, since I've just bought the other one.

yeah it happens in the au and standalone versions. i tried several times. I also deleted the app completely and reloaded and it still does it.
but I noticed that if I limit the number of transient slices to less than 8 it seems to work without crashing. i’m on an iphone 8plus running 12.4. if that helps. I’ll try
my Ipad Pro when I get home from work today.

Excellent update. Thank you! Only downside for me is that I keep accidentally launching pad edit mode when playing the pads. It’s convenient when editing but catches me out when just rocking out. 😁 Slice to pads is really a blast. And thanks for reminding me I still need to try out the new bitcrusher.

Great update thanks! A couple of things:
The first time I tried the loop slicing, after clicking assign, the pads filled up but hitting them produced no sound. OK after restart.
Would be great to have a “divide into equal slices” mode, with the number of slices adjustable.

@ElliottGarage It would be great to be able to audition slices, if that's easily workable for you. Also, sliced samples should retain the retrigger property of their source pad.
If there was a way to quickly set all pads to the same pitch, that would be useful too.
Is there a way to not have a countdown when you press play?
