So I'm gonna see how this works out on Friday :)

Controlling 4 instances of EG Pulse in AUM with the LaunchPad X is gonna be nuts :)

  • @zvon Thank you for the other 2 kits (MC01+MC07).. some cool useful sound fx..
@ElliottGarage these kits loaded easily with no issues.. as did the extra one from Sam (Sound Of Izrael)..

Sorry for the stolen gif, but just discovering this post...Missed the battle...Was looking for a 1010Music Blackbox...A bit desperate I must say...Then I came here...
    Gosh... <3

You're welcome, have fun with the sounds!

  • Dumb question. Are patterns saved with kits or with banks or both? I created some patterns and saved the kit and they weren’t there when I went back in.

Not a dumb question. Patterns are saved with banks.

  • @ElliottGarage
    Hi !
Your app looks great, but I have 2 issues at the moment...
Into AUM, hosting synths, drums etc... and using Xequence 2 (a midi sequencer) while X2 run in background it stops...Then I put it back on top, keeps going...
It's like EG pulse is taking all midi ressources (???)

Also, does the timestretch is reacting realtime ? Because it seems to me, atm, that I can import a loop, then I may calculate/adpapt it each time I'm changing BPM.
Is this the actual correct behaviour ?

    Thanks :)

  • @crony about timestretch, yes that's the actual behaviour. Doing stretch in realtime is pretty cpu consuming, I'm thinking about how to improve it anyway.

About the first question, could you please give me more details? I don't understand what's exactly the problem

  • edited October 2019

@ecamburn yes, patterns are saved into banks and samples (with mixer and midi config) into kits.
More info in the user manual :)

    @echoopera keep us posted :)

  • @crony : timestretch isn't dynamic.

  • @ElliottGarage ok, forget about the midi issue, sorry for the false alarm, I just realized that my iPad pro 1st gen is just overloaded...and he's dropping midi between apps...

I guess you're aware that there's a licensed timestretch algorithm used in BM3, Cubase, as far as I know.
I also imagine he's very optimized and less CPU consuming ?
Maybe you could add a paid addon for live timestretching ? Personally I'd buy it...

  • @crony yes, I'm evalueting

  • Hi. How do you delete kits and banks. Starting to build real kits but have some kits that were just tests.

  • @sigma79 swipe left on the preset to access an additional menu with delete, overwrite and share

@ElliottGarage pulse as a effects unit/audio processor. Is that what’s happening?

    Great app.

Sampling from other apps!? Uhh this is good :)

    This is huge!

  • Cheers man. Sampling groovebox is cool. Better than just playing synths ( Maybe because I havent bothered to record ) Its like half a DAW. Or you could make a full track.

OK, could someone enlighten me on how to get @ElliottGarage EG Pulse to work with my external drum Pad. Right now the app doesn't seem to recognize the conventional midi mapping of lower Left Pad=C3 and works its way up the scale to the 16th Pad in the top Right.

I want to use the app with my shiny shiny new LaunchPad X :)

  • thanks @sigma79

@echoopera here's a video showing how to assign MIDI to your drumkit

Awesome. I knew there would be a way. 👊🏼™️💕

Thank you for thinking of everything 👍🏼

  • Update 1.11 submitted...

    1.11

    • Host Pulse as AU3 effect into your host FX slot and record from any available input (Synths, mic, audio devices)
    • Sample normalization and destructive trim - @Samu that's for you :D
    • Random pattern creation
    • AU Mixer parameter exposed (pad level, pan, pitch, gain, mute and solo)
    • 3 new drumkit by Les Production Zvon [http://www.lesproductionszvon.com] taken by the Memory Collection pack (samples from Public Domain movies).
    • Fixed import of drumkit when no user kit was already created
  • edited October 2019

Wow. Really looking forward to playing with the FX slot magic....

    Thanks!
Does the app record in 16 or 24 bits?(I've been to lazy to check to be honest).

I'll also have to check if there's some kind of 'input monitoring' in the sampler dialogue.

Usually when something gets put in the effects slot it mutes the incoming audio unless it's processed or passed thru the effect.

I'll check once the 1.11 pops up in the AppStore :)

@Samu 16bit recording, eventually I can change it but I think 16 bit is good enough for a sampler and keeps the size smaller. The app supports higher bit and sampling rates when importing files however.
Input monitoring always active when hosted as FX, I don't think mute incoming signal is useful at all

16bit 44khz entirely good enough for me :)
and... HURRAH for all the other super useful developments.. outstanding..
wait.. now i think about it...
what about if it could sample in 8bit 11khz .. or somesuch crunchy space saving bitrate? wouldn’t that be a nice thing? :)
