  • is it me or does this version seem quieter than the last. i feel like i need to additional effect to get the master out to sound right. ? maybe it’s just me

  • Avon’s SillyKit downloaded, saved and played just fine here..

Can we have an updated video tutorial on the ‘slice to pad’, time stretch, and the new ‘pitch’ feature (Thanks 😎)... seems the slices skip for about 2 cycles ‘sometimes’.. maybe it is tied to the length of the loop... can’t pin it down.. help.

    Thank you..

  • I tried using pulse with gadget taipai and it didn’t go over very well using the pulse pads to gadget keys. Is there a way to set that up?

EG’s apps are always quiet. The first thing I do when I open any of them is crank up the master.

Especially true of EGSY01, which is strange but capable synth.

  • @ElliottGarage said:
@MrBlaschke yes, very strange...I'm thinking if there may be some kind of general permission settings in the device...
It appears the same message even from airdrop?

    Yes, same with AirDrop.
The two iPads (Pro 12“, 2nd and 3rd gen) show the same error. iPhone 8 Plus just crashes to springboard. No imports. All have their latest iOS and EG Pulse installed.

  • @ElliottGarage
    I have additional info:
I just created a own Kit and exported it to my Dropbox. All fine so far.
Then i deleted it from EG Pulse and restarted the app - had to delete it a second time inside the app to make it disappear!!

After that i re-imported my own kit from Dropbox without problems.
    So there seems either:

    • to be a problem with that „Zvon_Silly“-Kit
    • or to be a size related problem. My Kit is only several kilobyte, the other is 3.5 Megabyte.

Maybe you could have a look at these? So the general Import seems to work. I just cant import the Kit from „i forgot the name“ inside EG Pulse on any of my devices.

    Thanks for support.

@ElliottGarage I did notice that myself when importing samples - it sounds restrained when I compared the imported sample to the original including - BeatHawk BeatMaker , GarageBand ..... Not sure why..

  • @issieman when you import a samples the volume is controlled by the mixer view. Simply increase the master volume and the pad volume in mixer section :)

  • @MrBlaschke and everyone else...here's an additional kit created by Sam @Sound Of Izrael

    https://www.elliottgarage.com/wp/

Let me know if you have problem importing this :)

  • @ElliottGarage seems very obvious 😀 ... thanks

  • @ElliottGarage what did you think of this idea ... The ability to import drum midi loops and save them as patterns/songs. I have hundreds from various VST’s. The result would be building up a large library of patterns we could all share with the community.

Tried on my iPhone 7. Crash if Pulse il closed, and get this message if it’s already open:
Later I’ll try with my iPad Pro

  • @Faland and @MrBlaschke, I've found a problem. Do you have created any user drumkit? If not create one (even empty) and then try to re-import the kit from web :)

the SOI kit works fine for me.. normal browser download and ‘open in’ pulse.. I do already have user kits made in the app though :)
ios 11.4.1 though... so not necessarily a good indication for upwardly mobile ios users? :)

    Ok, it works. 🤟

  • @ElliottGarage
I made one this morning and exported/imported it.
Could successfully import the SOI Kit today.

That seems to be the problem.
No import until you create a kit yourself.

    Thanks.

  • Excellent, what an annoying issue, hopefully solved 👍

This seems to have solved the problem, here are 2 new kits I just made for further test. The first one has samples from Memory Collection 01 and the second from MC 07.

    http://www.lesproductionszvon.com/download/iOS/Zvon_MC07FX.egkit

Please let me know if they both work fine,

    Thank you

  • great @zvon... I'd like to create a share space on my website where users can upload and download kits, so that app will keep a not too big size :)

Look into having them add E.G. Pulse at patchstorage.com it is a good place for community patch sharing .

  • Patchstorage is ok, but there are some manual steps for the user. Better would be the Patterning approach, where you could browse for new kits directly in the app.

Good to know that they work.
I am glad you like them. They are not "regular" drum kits. The Memory Collection packs are a great source of varied 1 shot samples.

    +1.
That was on my feature request list...

They all loaded fine on my iPad 2018.. but not my iPhone XR... Got the same issue (for all) as Faland did..

Better sure, but a major undertaking to save a relatively small amount of time. Also, would not be able to work from the AU version, I'm almost certain.

Of course, if it would make the app sell significantly better, that might be another story.

The work for the user is trivial...the work to implement a reliable server system for sharing browsing is probably not trivial...and honestly I'd prefer the dev to spend time implementing other things on the wishlist than saving me a click or three browsing and downloading from reliable free site. A link could be put in the app to make getting to the sharing page simple.

  • Sure. I'm using patchstorage all the time with Mozaic, and don't have any issues with that workflow. I'm suspecting some casual Mozaic owners are not doing that, though, and they would have explored uploaded scripts more if they were easily browsable from within the app. Just speculation, of course.

If it wouldn't be able to work from AU then that's an important consideration, indeed.

  • How do you get a new blank project?
