I have a weird problem with scrolling. Scrolling with a mouse wheel works fine but dragging the scroll bars back or forward scrolls the patch in one direction only - down or right, depending on the scroll bar
Side note: I just realized how many tutorials there on vcv and mi rack!! Ok sweet. Cheers.
Yes @mifki,
Renaming is now showing as it should, with the latest update.
Cheers
King
Thanks, I'll have a look again. Does this happen always?
Yes, sure, search is planned, as well as ability to create your own module groups. We (with help of one of the beta testers) are also improving the tags, although it's a bit slow process.
ok. was just curious since i'm a pc user. no issue
Happy to help if you need any
Just testing the Mac Au3 version very briefly in Reaper and it seemed to work ok for sound and MIDI.
The interface is a little off. It doesn't increase in size when I resize the plugin window in Reaper, and the scroll bars don't seem to work properly. They either don't work at all, or they increase/decrease the size of the window.
It is however very cool to have it. I mean for the reverbs alone...
Scrollbars seem to be reported often, for some reason I don't have this issue, I'll see what I can do, probably some settings somewhere activate it. Resizing is more difficult though, there's a chance it can't be fixed with the current (Catalyst) implementation.
Just downloaded the update to miRack on my Mac.
Logic Pro X initially failed validation of both but now I've got at least the 'Instrument' validated but the 'MIDI-controlled effect' still crashes validation. It's so nice to have miRack inside Logic
What if you force enable it without validation?
I've tapped 'use' on it but it doesn't show up under audio effect plug-ins unless I hold down 'Option/Alt'.
After holding down Option/Alt I can load the plug-in as an audio effect.
For me when I press and hold one of the scrollbars it will just scroll down or right(depending on the scrollbar) for infinity, the left/right scrollbar is not fixable, have to restart to get back to the modules but up down I can fix by using scrollwheel up. But yeah the scrollbar are not usable in the AU version, seems to work OK in standalone.
@mifki i'm not sure it was goot idea to poke hornet's nest with MacOS version :-)) Until Apple will not fix their shit in Catalyst i'm afraid it will costs you a lot of energy
Btw new Lindenberg Research filters in beta are working great, they are really cool !
I agree, keep the macOS AUv3 as an 'unsupported' option for now...
...it works good enough for me but I'm not a 'heavy' user and build very simple patches for bouncing down to audio.
The cloud sync is nice so I can easily build patches on the Mac and use them on my iPad Air 2.
Just installed the Mac version, and Logic picked it up as an instrument straight away. Very nice.
Sorry noob question - can we share patches from the iOS version to the Mac? If so this would be a great incentive for me to get to learn to use it properly on the iPad, as it's the only plugin I have in Logic, aside from the default Logic ones. I can then dedicate the Mac/Logic setup as a modular recording playground.
The app supports iCloud and the miRack folder is accessible on both devices.
Ah lovely, thanks Samu!
@mifki Loving miRack it’s a real playground for creative ideas!
If I reopen an AUM project which contains miRack as an AUv3 audio effect in AUM ... when I open miRack, the module GUI backgrounds are not drawn properly ... see below.
iOS 13.5.1 on iPad Pro 2017 10.5”
“Revert to Last Saved” forces a redraw.
@craftycurate I've seen this several times. It doesn't happen always for you, does it? I'll need to fix it anyway, just need to know how severe it is.
Yes it happens every time I’ve tried it so far. Is it something to do with AUv3 state saving?
Would love to see more gui hiding options one day, eg ability to hide the "rack mounts", which aren't really necessary anyway and might look better when hidden in AUv3 mode.
And also a minimal/hide toolbar option for when performing would be great.
Not essential of course but all could add to the user experience.
nysthi master recorder crashes the app in standalone when selecting recorded wav destination, dunno if its known, long thread.. ipad pro 2020 ios 13.5.5 beta
Oh yes, can confirm the above Master Recorder bug happened with me as well since before the AUv3 build.
iOS 13.1.1, Air 3 (2019)
Seems to be operating ok on iPad Pro Gen 2 12.9”. iPadOS 13.5.1. I’m running the current MiRack beta.
It DOES happen on my iPhone 7, iOS 13.5.1, current MiRack beta.
