    Nebulus!

  • I have absolutely no interest in writing Acid music, but I can hardly wait for my Milk and Cucumbers.....

  • I don’t even want to make music anymore. I just want to play with those presets all day

Isn't it fabulous when all the pressures of achievement devolve into a happy hobby :)

    THIS!

  • Preordered, that da funk preset is spot on. A day without some daft punk is a day wasted!

Not keen on their music but met them briefly many years ago, before they were famous. They played at Sankeys live in Manchester. What a night that was! Really nice lads, I recall, too.

  • For me they were the first live electronic band i saw in the nineties. They completely blew me away. Rollin and scratchin is the track that got me hooked on electronic music.

Yeah, they were really good in those days. Sankeys used to be really good for the live electronic acts. Shame it closed, although it had long ago become a shadow of its former self by that time. But wonderful in its time. Daft Punk are just a bit too ‘syrupy’ for me. I respect them as a band, though.

Nice, much better than the Facebook vid with its low audio quality.
Good to see Armando’s “Confusion” preset got the right 707 sounds now :)

  • I'm actually looking fwd to seeing hearing and using the 909,s on this I assume u can mute by channels?

  • Are the drums modeled, anyone know?

  • Not a big fan of jacking up the pre-order price every few days. This style of sound seems very focused on a particular style of sound which is great for those who are in to it. If I made music in this style, I would have purchased it on day one of the pre-order but my urge to impulse buy has evaporated. It may return if the app ever goes on sale but I already have more apps than I know what to do with so Jim’s pricing strategy has saved me some time and money. Hopefully it encourages those who are into acid to take the plunge. From a purely selfish POV, perhaps his next app will be more in sync with my own musical tastes.

    I was wondering that.

I’m guessing sample based purely as if they were modelled it would be a major selling point.

Also the controls available for the drums all seem like the kind of controls you’d be able to have on sampled sounds.

It’s also a lot of sounds to individually model. Samples would be much kinder on the cpu too.

I did hear some stuff in the video that fits my taste and it triggered my imagination (2:10 in the video is one).. but the noted pattern feature/sequencer is why I pre-ordered (besides being a Jim Audio product)... and promised Auv3..

  • I love Grooverider and this developer but I’ll sit this one out, not my thing at all

I agree, just that the app file size is pretty low, it states that the sound engine is 64 bit but I wonder what the bit rate of the drum samples are? 16 bit?

  • It's looking like it might go right to the wire (the 20th). Boo! Release it now! I don't care about little bugs! Bring me acid! etc.

  • Alright, alright, you won, I’ll press that button, this evening... ))
