Search the forum. There are many posts summarizing NS2's strengths. Which are relevant depends on how you like to work and what you need. Also check out Jakob Haq's video about NS2's Obsidian synth,
@LinearLineman ha! thanx for remembering! .. was making my own list and as I kept coming back to this post / doing lots of scrolling i thought others would benefit from the info.
It's very helpful to insure we don't miss the opportunity to participate. I'm shocked at how many sale apps I already own.
Geoshred is on my appsliced watch list but can’t remember why. Is it good? How does it stack up against similar apps?
I think I got everything else I was looking for apart from twisted wave - does that ever go on sale?
Brambo deal..
Oh wait it's never releasing
Geoshred is awesome, definitely the best in class MPE controller app, and also has some decent internal sounds as well.
I thought it was a guitar pedals app like ToneStack etc. Should watch some videos. Although maybe I shouldn’t, don’t really have any BF budget left
It's not really like Tonestack, it's very much its own thing and it's definitely worth investigating.
Almost certainly the usual. It looks for all the world like you’re paying again, but then after the last step, it tells you that you already own it and do you want to buy it for $0.00. App Store weirdness at its finest.
What is FM304 like, anyone?

I'd like to buy a compressor before sales end, but which one ?
My main use will be in a guitar signal chain.
DDMF MagicDeathEye or FabFilter C2 or 4Pocket Visual Multiband or another one ?
OK. I'm going to try avoiding ‘just’
Turnado is a great app because it gives instant gratification despite being extremely deep under the hood. As opposed to cryptic apps that will make you sweat before producing anything close to pleasing. But if you sieve through the presets, find the ones that you like and try to dissect them, little by little you (beep) might learn bit by bit. Likely SB will have tutorials for their desktop version on YT if you wish to follow that route.
A zero-connectivity audio app unfortunately.

I have all of them but I like more DDMF MagicdeathEye compressor.
Is MagicDeathEye better for recorded instruments and singing than electronic music? What kind of colouring does it do?
Wow on effectrix! Give me a reason to not buy all of them (sugar bytes). Thinking of turnado or IAP on factory or egoist or or or...Help a appoholic to choose please 🙃😛
Full version of Factory is a must in my book.
+1. Factory, Aparillo and Turnado - all essentials. Just get them all.
Bought Factory. Even if I never use it I have eternal debt to SB for mega using and abusing Turnado for the last few years only having paid £6.99 or similar. It might never get used like Unique but It does sound good. Will most likely use it as a sample source for Samplr and Drambo.
You just can’t trust a codependent 😛😛😜😜😝😝
Atom is on offer now in the UK AppStore
It's actually quite a go-to synth for me - once you get the hang of it it's capable of a really wide range of usable sounds, as well as being able to go down the rabbit hole for total strangeness. But yeah, I'm totally grateful they're porting this stuff.
True!
Sugar Bytes are the business though. Aside from Thesys, and maybe Wow which I don't use much, their apps are absolutely essential for me. It's absolutely amazing that they've made their kit available for the iPad, and at such a reasonable cost.
You have to admire the simplicity from those days 😀
Wow! I wasn’t expecting that.
I’ve just spent a fortune on apps I will probably never use and I’m most excited by an app I’ve had for years going universal :-)
Which DM2 do you mean? The drum machine? Got it updated? Can’t find it on the store...
Edit! Found it. Stupid App Store search algo thiugh
So where are the music app deals?> @david_2017 said:
Got it. It doesn’t work. Just shows a black screen.
Pro C2 is the most versatile because it has multiple algorithmns (Clean, Bus, Opto, Vocal etc) so if I just had to have one it would be that one. MagicDeathEye is pretty cool though, adds a little something.
MagicDeathEye adds a hint of low-end grit IMO, a hint of pleasing warmth. I use it on vocals all the time:
