Nah. Just keep bietfrieking on my Dutch friend.
For bass, Cyclop or Bassilicous 2? Anyone have experience of both? Leaning towards Cyclop because of the smaller footprint.
Haven’t got the other one, but Cyclop is a monster of an app. Difficult to go wrong with a Sugar Bytes app.
Brilliant, thank you. Yeah, overdosing on Sugarbytes this BF!
I’m looking at picking up a few of the 4pockets apps. Can anyone give me some advice - I have all the fab filters so don’t want any of the more usual studio stuff like compressors limiters etc etc. but I’m interested in anything unique? I’ve lost track a bit but I know they have a creative pack and atomizer, a filter thing with some weird settings, that chopper upper thing... just anything interesting experimental or with unique sonic texture possibilities not on other apps would be great. Thanks!
Is multitrack on sale?
You are a very expensive internet friend to have Mister Yot
What, I managed to plug the only app you don't already own? 🙀
Paul’s apps are awesome. But I never use them because of the connectivity issue. FM-304 interface is very tightly packed and not fun to use IMHO.
Great news. Thx!
I'll spread the word
Thanks, I think I can hear it. Not sure it’s that useful for electronic music.
I'm a philistine, and if it's that expensive, I want some audible magic! Some audible magicdeath even. (Although @richardyot's track sounds rich and resonant, so maybe that is the magic?)
It's definitely a subtle effect, on electronic music you might want something grittier.
And therein lies the issue as regards those of us who are married to the bank manager: "It does what? Can't hear it. Are you sure?"
NS2 - anyone could check what is the size of the app? I see in the app store that it is only 267.1 MB
someone wrote here that it is few GBs
9+ Gigas but it was Neo Soul keys Studio2, not Nanostudio 2.
Is there a consolidated list of all the apps on sale with links, anywhere?
I’ve got quite a few different apps that add colour (tb barricade for example) so I would probably never use this.
Just seen the list on http://www.discchord.com
MagicDeathEye seems to be the best emulation of a "Tube-based Compressor" which has a type of distortion that's consider very effective for acoustic inputs: vocals, brass, pianos and for my tastes guitar. My guitar hero are Robben Ford, Joe Pass and Jeff Beck. You can push MagicDeathEye into some extreme distortions but they wouldn't ever sound harsh. It just doesn't emphasize the dissonant harmonics (the odds I thinks) but the warm ones (evens?).
That video mentions the harmonics is produces but doesn't also mention that jazz/blues guitar players covet them.
No one sings it's praises here but FabFilter's Multi-Band Compressor (Pro-MB) is amazing for tweaking the tone of anything. You can visually dial-in a specific sound and even isolate and drop ranges from a mix.
Perforator is one of the greatest apps ever. Patterned tremolo that is unique in iOS, as far as I have seen. Kosmonaut is really great too, but less distinctive than Perforator.
I use it constantly, particularly at slow rates to cut holes in loops to loosen things up.
Ended up with NS2 & Senode sequencer!
@ipadbeatmaking, @BitterGums posted a comprehensive list here a page or so back.

Thanks everyone for your advices about compressors. 👍
I still hesitate between FF and DDMF, but Mani's one seems to be a great option too, especially in the "AU Effects Collection #1" bundle.
