What app did you just buy? Is it good?

Soooo.... anyone buy any apps lately? 😋

It doesn’t matter (for example) that Bebot has been out for ten years. If you just bought it for the first time and you’re happy cuz Bebot is singing his little robot heart out for you... then it’s a brand new app.

So whatcha buy? Is it good? Or gooooood! Do tell. 😁

  • Eventide Blackhole - yussssssss
    Pure Synth Platinum - yessssssss

  • Ruismaker Noir, MagicDeathEye, Groove Rider GR-16, Unique (iPhone cuz it was cheaper) and completed the BLEASS bundle for $4.

I have nailed one hand to the flooring in order to prevent myself from purchasing Lagrange.

  • Future Drummer, Brazilian Drummer, NSK2, GoToEQ, iBassist even though it wasn’t on sale just because these apps rule so much, FF Timeless in Auria. Yeah, they’re all pretty great.

Thanks for playing! Departing contestants receive a lifetime supply of Turtle Wax. Hope you have lots of turtles in need of a shine. 😄

Just got a bunch of Eventide apps, too. After 10 minutes was completely spoiled by the ribbon slider thing. Now I want every effect app to have one!

  • Moog Model 15. It should give me a good excuse to try out the Eventide apps I got a couple months back when they were on sale. Is it good? Not sure yet. Sounds great, but not sure how I feel about using the area on the side to scroll around both horizontally and vertically.

  • Neo Soul Keys Studio, sounds great but I am having issues with multiple instances in BM3.

  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • Groove Rider GR-16, and yes!

  • Estoric synth ( worth it just for presets ) Tonality ( might assist 61 keyboard ) Ivcs3 ( some presets sound like Ripplemaker ) Streetlytron Pro ( for choirs. guitars ) Fd1 Filter delay ( seems a bit like volca drum delay and non lofi ) Tardigrain ( worth it for presets and chord or scale button ) Fly tape and lofi dirt ( was the only app I was going to refund. No diss to the dev. The pitch just didnt wobble. Could have completed TB apps with reelbus but added the free Svep. Now gives wobble, hiss and resolution formats but with stutter effects and a reverse and loop, without adding another app. Seems good then.

  • Roxsyn - so much fun with Geoshred!
Aphelian - still clueless but love the visuals and geometry in general
MangledVerb - simply amazing and very much my cup of tea
Micropitch - a little disappointing so far, actually
Bark Filter - had to experience that TripleBand magic; it's about 50/50 for me so far, but it's ON when it's on...
Unique (iPhone version) - loving it so far, especially for $1.99
TardiGrain - this one sings for me; intuitive and lovely!
Lo-Fly Dirt - have yet to try it
Bleass Bundle - so glad I picked these up; the delay is immediately my favorite next to Kosmonaut, and the filter is great fun

    Wavefolder
    Fugue Machine
    Chordflow
Tonality - for $1.99 this is a steal
Brambos Mozaic - i hope there’s some arpeggio presets, need one in BM3
Apesoft Sparkle - kinda cool but cant get it to sound good on anything but vocals
    Turnado
    TB Morphit
    DerVoco Vocoder
    LoFly Dirt
    Eventide MangledVerb - sounds great
Eventide Micropitch - ditto but more subtle
LoFionic Mani Analog Chorus - smooth silky & only cost .99
    Frekvens freq shifter
BLEASS Reverb - Really nice sounding reverb for 3 bucks
    Brambos Ruismaker Noir (auv3) - ❤️
Brambos Troublemaker - Rebirth 303 all over again
Impaktor - i doubt i’ll ever use it much, but it’s fun. Needs an update
Tardigrain - Pretty good so far but not as much control as i’d like
Moog Model 15 (auv3) - Speaker heater, havng fun playing Assault on Precinct 13 on it
    Poison 202 (auv3) - $5 Excellent digital synth
Apesoft iVCS3 (auv3) $8 - THIS THING IS AMAZING! MY FAVORITE PURCHASE BY FAR
Streetlytron 63 (IAA) $6 - Lovely sounds but not most mellotron-sounding, < Manetron & Mellowsound
Puresynth Platinum 2 (auv3) Rompler - Tons of great bread & butter sounds w/ lots of butter
    LumaFusion

Im going to be busy for a long time learning this stuff. Tried to support as many devs as possible.

  • PureSynth, ScaleGen, and BLEASS Bundle.
    Good times.

    Woodstepper,
    NFM,
    MagicDeathEye DDMF compressor

I haven't had time to use them yet.

  • NS2, Senode and Playbeat...

  • @Häxanäx ‘Im going to be busy for a long time learning this stuff’

Lol at ‘learning this stuff’. I keep meaning to do that but then just buy moar.

Having said that, I didn’t buy much this time because a) I already have too many apps and b) I bought the $99 upgrade to Arturia V Collection 7 (from 5) and an Arturia Essentials Keylab 61 (with a 20% discount). I am seriously broke now. :(

But I did buy Unique (iPhone version) and love it so far.

  • FabFilter bundle
    Effectrix
    Ultimate Circle Of Fifths
    GoTo EQ
    Fractal Bits
    Neo Soul Keys 2

I'd saved up especially for the FF Bundle, but actually it's been on accidental "sale" since August anyway :)

Ultimate Circle Of Fifths was a nice surprise, what a great app that's turned out to be. Really cool for coming up with unusual chord progressions and also for exploring modes.

I have so many apps it's an embarrassment of riches (actually it's a plain embarrassment full stop). There are many that I know reasonably deeply, but they are still outnumbered by the dozens that I don't.

  • @richardyot I hear you. There should be a name for that almost-shame you feel for having things you haven’t justified owning yet. There probably is a German and a Japanese word for that already

  • Have kept some restraint this year..

Effectrix - where i quickly learned two is better than one, when the ipad can handle it.

Reamp - have grind for insane distortion. Wanted something something meatier. We’ll see.

Ultimate circle of fifths - for reasons already mentioned. Ripping little songwriting tool.

Unique for iphone - nice little straightforward tone generator.

    Affinity Photo - just because.

Nicest free surprise was Korg Electribe Wave going AUv3. Low on the cpu and sounds lovely. Will get a lot of use out of this one.

  • I’ve bought a few things this Black Friday, mostly things I’ve been meaning to pick ups but hadn’t got around to, however having recently been gifted a 1st generation iPad Pro and pencil I was motivated to indulge myself :-

    Music Apps

    Aux
    Zeeon Synth
    EG Pulse
    Ruismaker Noir
    Rozeta
    Ripplemaker
    DAW Cassette

    Other Apps

    Affinity Photo

Still need to get a copy of Koala sampler but no rush as it isn’t on sale.

  • Eg pulse, not tried it yet.

Effectrix - amazing, happy with that one.

MiRack - going to enjoy exploring it, but not sure how to get audio out...

And that’s it so far. Might add a synth - Poison or Lagrange, but pretty restrained this year.

Update: ah, bought iPulsaret last week as well.

Audio out module is on the left when you start. If you are talking about recording the output, use it in AUM for starters.

This time I took some great apps:

JAF Collection - large group of filters with mods and sat. I'm really having fun.
SynthMaster One - Simply awesome, at that price you can't let it get away ...
iPulsaret, iDensity and Moebius Lab - I will have to work a lot to understand every single parameter, but very funny.
apeMatrix - my bad, I thought I was covered with AUM, but the infinite possibilities of automation and midi routing make this host a real must have.
BASSalicious - great bass synth, I've been waiting for the sale for a long time. No disappointment here.
Virsyn BandShift - Only tried for a few minutes, but it looks very promising.
Aparillo - and with this here I completed this list and my Sugar Bytes collection. Strange but fascinating synth, could not miss in my arsenal, isn't it?

It now sits quite happily in AUM

    Ah ok, thanks.

Hmm, tried it last night but it wouldn't load, maybe it needs a patch with audio out as Joc says above, I'll have a go today.

I'd recommend Factory as well if you don't have it - similar to Aparillo sound-wise, but with a slightly more intuitive UI.

  • KB1, miRack, Mangledverb (super good!),
Blackhole, MicroPitch, UltraTap, iDensity, Tonality, Nanostudio 2, Troublemaker.
More than I wanted to spend, but I couldn’t resist :)

Thanks @MonzoPro, I have Factory and it's one of my favorite synths. Aparillo was the only SB app I missed. Not exactly my kind of thing but I took advantage of the sale to complete the collection and support the dev, with the hope that its other plugins that are still missing on iOS will arrive soon. Cheers
