  • Hardware problem solved, it was the USB cable from my powered hub to the lightening adapter. It was not an obvious solution since the pads still lit up with the bad cable, so I never would have thought to try that had I not read about others having the save problem.

I’m also tickled that my LPX is working with MIdisynthcontrol out of the box without having to DL firmware. I’d like to think I bought it new, but I guess that wasn’t the case, cause…Amazon, so who knows. But I had no problem registering the serial number, so I dunno.

Back to the root of my original post, in the end, MSC on the iPhone still doesn’t list the LPX as a buyable/demo template. It’s only a problem for those who don’t own an iPad, cause much to my delight, I was able to use MSC on my iPad to create my custom template, and that template remained stored on my LPX after I unplugged it and connected it to my iPhone. I assumed that MSC would need to stay open in the background for it to work, so I am quite content!

BTW, @Gravitas , I really enjoy listening to your track, Voyager. Reminds me of Mr. Oizo and Square Pusher.

Glad to hear that it's working now.
