  • The arrival of this has been on the back of my mind and now the excitement is kicking in that it will be soon. This dev makes some of the most creative apps I’ve come across

The name Classic FX elicited a yawn from me.
But that UI looks pretty futuristic.
It has my attention going forward.

It does. I was expecting some thumping Techno in the video 😃.. I’m sure it’s cross genre though.

  • is this the fieldscaper as an fx unit that I have dreamed about?

I think it’s classic as in classical tape music studio

Anything Igor does is amazing. Moneys in the bank waiting, impatiently for this, drambo, mononoke, etc.

    Me too😂

When is our club’s first meeting?

    We should organize.
    United appholics of the world😂

I’m in as long as there is an intro sale, no IAPs, and no subscriptions. ><

  • Lucky enough to have got testing this. I think it is classic in the sense that the fx it contains are time-tested classics. But it definitely implements them in a very unique way. As for whether it is an AU of Fieldscaper, hmmm.... Its very, very different. It can do both understated and bat-shit crazy very well. Will definitely be something that everyone, whatever their genre, will be able to make use of. So in that sense it is not really comparable to fieldscaper, which definitely targets the experimentalists among us. I don't want to say too much before it comes out, but it will for sure be a huge hit. Only a few more days to go hopefully! Oh, and it seems rock solid as well.

No, it’s more of a steampunk mashup of olde worlde effects like flangers, rotary speakers, vibratos and what have you. You don’t have the kind of bare-metal control of sound processing that you do in FieldScaper.

  • Wowww. Epic. A true gift.

  • Definitely some deep manual reading on this one!

  • fantastic take on fx processor:)
    thank Igor. unique mind.

  • It really is lovely. And much easier to learn than his other apps. The interface is also one of the coolest of any app I have seen.

  • i’ll most likey be getting this soon. i’ve been on an app buying spree and decided to pull the plug on spending for a while and make use of all the goodies ive acquired.
this app seems to replace the need to load several aufx up in your daw like a delay, reverb, phaser etc and have them all on one control surface, which is pretty rad if they sound good. i’m really picky with effects so i do like my chains but hopefully some demos pop up showing how this is different

  • That’s a great overview video!

  • Be aware, when you are trying to figure things out, that on some presets there is a small mistake - which will be fixed in the next update - where the mod amount on some some effects is set wrongly, and max amount is actually min amount. This applies mostly to presets that have a flange component.

  • @Gavinski : just got it, second that opinion. It sounds great - and I actually understand how to use it! (Only one of those statements was true about all his other apps which I’ve got, love... and am totally baffled by! )

  • Yes, I thought it was important to mention that, because until now his apps have had the reputation of being genius but hard to learn. This one is very powerful, very cool, but intuitive.

Here is hoping Igor opens up some of the parameters to show in AUM like the morph etc a slow Rozeta lfo applied to that could be quite cool.

Update just found out the morph can be cycled in App at set speeds so disregard my first bit cool. !

  • I put in a request for AU parameter exposure already, also for the possibility of a slower cycle rate within the app itself, as well as being able, in-app, to modulate the cycle rate to make it more variable. These features are likely to be added.
