I think, this iPhone version may be obsolete, even if no version number is visible.

    BUT:

Even as i can see both Apps on my iPhone, both show the price tag!

I hesitate to try to install...

If you have the ipad version this must be the typical Apple bug for apps going universal

@kv331audio_bulent Thanks for the great update to synthmaster one on iOS. Had some #jamuary2020 fun with it today using 6 instances of it to make a track:

    And the vid:

  • Super awesome synth! Thanks Bulent and team!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  • I’ve updated the app on my iPad and registered after clicking on ‘download bonus presets’, (which states there should be 350 of them). I have an email telling I will receive 200 additional presets. When I restart the app and click on ‘download bonus presets’ it still asks me to register. Am I doing something wrong @kv331audio_bulent ?

Same here, mail and all. 499 presets show up before and after registering. Download bonus tells that presets already loaded. :/ A bug or doing something wrong?

This is beyond serious: when opening any existing project in Cubasis 2.8.1 (the last CUBASIS version that works correctly), any track that used the previous (non-beta) version of Synthmaster One has lost its plugin. When relinking it, it's LOST ITS PRESET, and corrupted the Cubasis file from opening with the correct Synthmaster One preset when re-opening it using the previous Synthmaster One app backup. This is completely unworkable for obvious reasons. I would call this a major bug. Is this occurring for anyone else? @MobileMusic ?

Thankfully I have a backup of both the previous Synthmaster One app before updating, and the Cubasis uncorrupted file. These reloaded successfully, and the track opens correctly.

This bug is repeatable. Another app I can't update, along with Cubasis. This is hellacious for actually producing coherent, consistent tracks. The time spent choosing the presets, and tweaking them, to be saved within the host, not by saving as a new preset, is enormous. Why do updates have to alter what's previously correct?

Is this happening for anyone else? If you try to confirm this, make sure you have your Cubasis test project backed up, and you have the previous version of Synthmaster One to revert to. That version worked rock solidly.

Perhaps the newest Universal update of the app could be... labeled as a new app, like the unfortunate Cubasis 3, and leave the previous working version as is. But that’s no doubt impossible because it’s already listed in the App Store.

  • Interesting Phenomenon when recording SM1 via GarageBand keyboard two overlapping events are recorded into the piano roll. 100 percent of the time (tested on iPad Pro 12.9).

You can tell because if you delete one event there’s another right underneath it. Same behavior is not observed using other Auv3 instruments @kv331audio_bulent

    Same here.

  • Mine worked perfectly on iphone. I did have the beta installed though and just downloaded the update from the AppStore.

If you have the beta and update from the App Store you will still have all presets including the desktop upgrade IAP which you don’t pay for while beta testing. If you delete the beta first you will lose the IAP.

I think the issue with the free additional presets is that you don’t get 350 when you register as the pop-up states but 100. Perhaps @kv331audio_bulent can clarify. I see 399 after a fresh install and 500 after registration. The desktop upgrade brings it up to 1250 presets.

Same results, the third same attempt/result. Could it be because the previous app shows up in the Cubasis Audio Units menu as "k311:SynthmasterOne" and the newest update shows up directly next to the "KV331 Audio:SynthmasterPlayer", (if installed) as "KV331:SynthmasterOne"?

Whatever the reason, it completely fails in Cubasis 2.8.1.

  • Old BM3 projects seem to be loading up fine with Synthmaster One. Love the new modulation dot thingies on the dials! This may coax me further out of my preset cave into the lands of init.

  • @Strizbiz
On Pro 11", I'm able to load SM1 as AU inside Cubasis and GB. However, on iPhone 6s, SM1 doesn't load as AU (already reported). Haven't tried on Air 2 yet.

  • So does the desktop iap include all the iaps below it? Also if I light the iaps in synth master player do I need to buy them again I’m assuming yes since it’s another app. Also iPhone X still says I need to buy it at 14.99

Same. I'm guessing that's it's gonna say we've paid, but I'm nervous to try.

The only IAP for SM1 is the desktop presets. All of the others are for SMP.

Sorry, I meant that I was going to download the universal version on my 7plus, but it says 1499 still so I'm just using the beta on the iPhone until someone confirm it won't charge me again
I've already bought the IAP desktop presets on iPad. Got over a 1200 presets now

  • If SynthMaster One weren’t so great and such an integral part of so many things it wouldn’t be as nerve-racking! Still loving the previous version, working perfectly...

Cubasis (at least in versions 2.x) identified plugins by their name, which is WRONG in my opinion as a developer. I reported this to @LFS , don't know if they fixed it. Our plug-in name was "K331: SynthMaster One" which wasn't identifying our company name, so we changed it to "KV331Audio: SynthMaster One". So should I change it back to "K331: SynthMaster One" just so it loads in one DAW correctly ?

500 indicates older app version. I'll double check this issue. Could you confirm you have v1.3.4 ?

    Thanks

I have the same issue right now on my iPhone (yes I paid for the app on iPad as well, just for testing). I bet this is an AppStore bug, or delay.

EDIT: Tried to purchase, luckly Apple didn't charge anything -safe to hit Purchase- see screenshot:

Since you ask, yes please. Not just one DAW; many songs/projects and many users, I assume, are involved. Why change horses in midstream? Placing blame seems less important than supporting a pre-existing user base. The naming scheme seems trivial in comparison to the adverse effects this causes. All for a simple “V”? This seems unimportant considering the negative end result for actual users of your app. We have scores, so speak, of projects using SynthMaster heavily. I wish there could be a way to remedy this, and you could reconsider the rename. I’d love to be able to continue updating and supporting the app.

I deleted the beta off my iPad and downloaded from the App Store. This is what it says in About/Credits. Should it say 1.3.4? If so, there’s an issue somewhere.

I will change the plugin name back to K331: SynthMaster One, however plugins are NOT identified by names - each AUv3 plugin has a UNIQUE id, they are identified by IDs. The Cubase developers must have known this.

BTW, Cubase is the only DAW I am aware of that's storing plugins by name instead of ID.

was able to reproduce the issue, fixing now on the server side.
