    Hy guys
I have problems with L7 audiobus links, the app remains dormant and no start / stop / registration icons appear
I have an iphone 8 with ios 14.4.1 the app version is 1.42 does anyone have this problem?

It looks like you are trying to load the standalone version in the AB output slot.
Try loading the AU version in the AB effects slot.
It is working for me using it that way.

What happens when you try to load the AU version (not the app)?

when I load it as AU in efx slot it is awake but the registration commands do not appear (therefore impossible to manage)

What do you mean by ' the registration commands don't appear'? Do you mean the ones on the Audiobus palette?

  • yes, I mean AB's palette controls
    Errata corrige:
loading it in Au in the efx slot records but I don't know how to manage the recording

  • Flip to portrait mode to see the controls at the bottom, if that's what you're missing.

Have you tried scrolling to reveal the part of the window below what is visible? You will see the buttons for recording there. You can also set up MIDI learn for its functions.

  • I can't get L7 to record anything from the Audiobus input with the AU loaded in an FX slot. The only input that shows as available is the iOS microphone.

Doesn't scroll here. Portrait mode works though.

Interesting. On the iPad, the AU's track display is scrollable when it fills up.

(Testing on the iPhone since that's what the OP seems to be using)
Tracks will scroll, but the controls at the bottom don't appear when you scroll to the bottom (in landscape).

  • no control in all modes for me

Can you supply a screenshot taken in portrait mode? For me the controls at the bottom show when I turn my phone into portrait orientation.

If the controls at the bottom show, but this isn't what you're looking for, then please help by explaining what you're looking for.

yes, I have the same image controls

what I am looking for are the recording controls as it has for example loopy and other looper, I thought I would find them also in L7 but I am having difficulty with recording practicality
i also notice that ableton link doesn't work

    Ableton works here.

If you see the same screen as wim pictured, the recording controls are right there. They are in the picture.

I think I understand what you're looking for now. You're expecting to see record, play, and stop buttons in the Audiobus toolbar, and aren't talking about the controls inside the app?

L7 doesn't place those controls in the Audiobus toolbar. All the controls are inside the app itself. You'll need to use a different looper if using the Audiobus toolbar for those controls is important to you.

i also notice that ableton link doesn't work

You don't need Ableton Link if L7 is loaded as an AUv3. It will get the tempo from the host (Audiobus) and will start and stop when the host does. If you're using it standalone or as an IAA App, then Link should work.

yes that's what I meant thanks for the interpretation 😂😂😂 in fact I think I got the wrong app, yet from the tutorials on the net I had seen that they were usable ... in the iaa ableton link version does not work, tried with all the apps I have .. .thank you again for supporting everyone😉💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

  • Hi I'm pretty new to this but same problem for me in that I only have the option of 'iPad mic' as an input but I want to use Audiobus to loop my software ios instruments.
If I use LoopyHD they appear in Loopy when I load Loopy as an output. But AudioKit's Looper will not see my ios instruments. Does it not do this?
    thanks

Post screenshots of how you have things set up.

  • Sure here we go. Basically a synth going into Looper in Audiobus 3

What OS? L7 as a standalone has problems in iOS 14 with Audiobus. Have you tried loading as AU?

  • Yes....
That was my bad. Loaded as an AU and bingo!
    Thanks a million.

  • Having problems with L7. I’ve mapped a cc for volume control of each track, but as soon as I turn the assigned knob, the app crashes. I’m using it as an AU effect in AUM.

Anyone, who’s experienced something similar? Is there a fix?

  • Could someone please verify if Audiokits L7 Looper's record buttons show up in AB3's sidebar or not? I just couldn't get them to show up with AB3 version 3.7...

    TIA,

    TIA,

I’m only on AB 3.4.30 (the highest version I see available to me in the app store). But my results are that I get the record buttons for L7 showing up in the sidebar when I’m using the IAA version (in either the output or fx slot) but not when im using the auv3.
