A tough call indeed. There's no question that they make great plugins.
I'm not a professional producer so if I can get 95% of the sound out of Ableton and Logic Pro plugins then that's more than fine for me. And these DAWs do have great quality plugins.
To be fair, no one really need anything more than the stock plugins for making all kind of music, especially the well skilled pros. The quality of the stock Logic Pro plugs, for instance, is better or equal than a lot of plugins on the market. We need more toys, me too obviously, nothing against this, just a thought out loud.
Arturia V7 collection half price, very good value for the money:

Make me want a MacBook instead of an iPad
They are exceptionally good plug ins.
Well, I guess it’s ok to post here ... NI Maschine Expansion sale.... 9 for $100..

Wow, that is a great deal. I’m not going to even look because I have money in the uad universe so probably have that stuff covered, but black rooster’s software is good. I have to stop buying things on sale and use what I have (which was a pipe dream 20 years ago! In 2000 I think I still had a pre g3 macbook and a cassette 4 track I was using to feed it through its internal mic input).
Did not work in Canada 😭😭 our dollar is sooooo low we sure could use the 10% extra.
Fac envolver is on sale accoring to appsliced.co
Yes FAC Envolver went down $1 to $8.99
@ecou I’m Sorry to hear that, maybe give it a day or 2 to see if it comes.
Worked for me just fine on the westcoast
Same, I use it to test plugins for developers, beyond that it is a terrible host to me, it takes so much screen space just to have a channel loaded, makes it horrible to use, needs an entire ui overhaul.
That is absolutely true. I am amazed at the quality of the logic plugins, which is why I have persevered through some of the things that really bothered me when I first switched to it in 2019. I’m glad I did, I’m still far from proficient on it, but as I encounter problems I am figuring out how to solve them (doing clip gain in logic is NOT obvious!!).
I do use a lot of stock logic stuff, but I also use a lot of uad, soundtoys, and izotope in my mixes. The logic compressors and the console eq are both fantastic though.
@ruggedsmooth The 10% was added overnight. 😃
Good to hear

what is a good audio analyzer that’s can set in an fx slot in aum?
I suppose you could put it in a bus and send the audio in question that way?
Not exactly 'fully-featured', but here's a few AU options:
https://apps.apple.com/app/analyser-tuner-auv3-plugin/id1436332576
https://apps.apple.com/app/apefilter/id903006632
https://apps.apple.com/app/apematrix/id1378343729 (has AU tools which can run in other hosts)
Most of the Fabfilter plugs have analyzers.

Jason Musser has made all 9 of his apps free. There are 9 different instrument apps that can help you learn an instrument. No guitar or bass though...
Description of Flute Prompter:
The easiest, most fun way to learn to play the flute! It's like a teleprompter for the flute: play the note fingerings shown on the screen to play along with the included scales--or import a song MIDI file from your e-mail or from a web site and see note fingerings for the flute in real time as the song plays! Slow down any song to make it easier to play along with, and adjust the playback speed at any time!

To me AUM is a must purchase app In the same vein as AudioBus & AudioShare (also by Kymatica). Essential, bedrock foundational iOS Music Production apps.
And AUM is NOT just for producing EDM or organizing jams. It is indispensable as the testing ground for apps and signal chains. Wanna find the most appropriate verb for an instrument? Load up a few in some effects slots and A-B until you’re happy.
@flo26 has shown that AUM makes a great guitar amp sim with IR cabinets through a Convolution Reverb and a preamp like the Nembrini stuff or Auria’s FabFilter Saturn.
Since you can send the signals pretty much anywhere the “DAW or AUM” discussion to me is not applicable. Get both. Especially in the zombie apocalypse we’re in, between AUM & ass wipe? Gimme AUM...💩
I wasn't sure if it was posted or not.
Cheers!
