Enough for me to skip this one.
Elastic Drums is offering another IAP for free today: DJ elephant power drums
Register an account with Roland and the VIP expansion IAP is then downloaded free
Thanks for the tip, I absolutely love elastic drums, well worth having even if not auv3.
Is this Roland offer really something that was paid now free or is it just a try zenbeats for 30 days for free kind of thing
When you register, you get all bundled instruments, effects and features. Sampleverse and 500mb content. Track effects and mixing limitations off and AUv3 support. This costs 15 points normally, no idea how much money it is.
That IAP which is now free is called iOS Unlock V1
🙏🏻
I admire Elastic Drums, but just haven't been motivated to make the time to make the most etc etc.
Zenbeats works great for me and I like it a lot. The IAP is usually $15. I already purchased for iOS and Windows so maybe I can pick up Android for the fun of it. I love that it's cross-platform and you can transfer projects back and forth. The scanning can take a while and it a little annoying but I wouldn't let it dissuade you from trying it out.
I’m really enjoying this gift horse, though it does seem to drink a lot of juice...
Thanks mate. Appreciate your quick reply! I think there is no reason not to jump in
That worked nicely.... scanning the plugins.... crash.... hmmm
I dug it out yesterday. I like it, but it does seem to have its own particular sound, however many times I hit the randomise button!
That's what I like about it, the sound is really quality and also very distinctive. I can definitely hear the Mouse on Mars touch there.
how do you get to the IAP?
Tap the preset name at top middle, then there’s a button for Store on the drop down menu
thanks
one more question, i feel dumb asking , but where the heck to you set the tempo?
Try starting with an ‘init’ patch and randomise from there.
I think automation is often baked in to the patches and is preserved when randomising which can add to the impression of sameiness in the results.
At the top centre of screen, double click and you can input tempo
Thanks for this. I agree with Monzo-San about the sameness sometimes, so will give this a go...
Ah sorry, I'm on iPad... Not sure where iPhone puts it. Have a click around, I'm sure you'll find it
@eross on the mix screen

Nice - one! Thanks for the link.
Cheers, I’ll give that a go!
I have made a few sets from scratch over the years, but I don’t use it often enough to be fluent.
Welcome
I agree with the general consensus (3+ people
) that it has a distinctive sound regardless.
Characterful!
..
It’s normal (unfortunately) to crash while scanning . It depends on the plugins , you have to keep reopening ZenBeats and rescan until it finishes .
That’s your problem then, you’re supposed to lead the horse to water, not juice.
to zen or not to zen, that is the question?
