Ok, thank you.
IAPs can't be shared with family members and aren't covered by the 14 days return policy here in EU. That's actually the reason I still don't have these synths (+ lack of MPE of course. I have Factory on Mac, one of my first synths) but these days, between the COVID and the GAS...
U definitely won't need a refund on Factory or Aparillo though! Both Both pretty damn amazing.

+1! They do take a little perseverence as the factory patches (no pun intended) can be a bit on the wacky side but with a bit of gentle coaxing they are both wonderfully rich and versatile synths, with the classic Sugar Bytes blend of unique weirdness and musical usefulness.
Definitely worth reading the manuals too.
I'm loving Mela in the FX slot.
Completing Session Band Big Bundle 2 for 1,69€ (Country + Blues+EDM). Lot of chords for practising keyboards for almost nothing.
Oh, boy... I was trying to stop buying, but this is really tempting.
well i finally bought reamp! 10$ is a great deal on that thing
NFM has a really nice interface for doing complex sound design in FM. Highly recommnded.
NPD is also pretty cool. Phase Distortion in a pretty simple package. His stuff seems underrated for some reason.
I have NFM. It’s really easy to get started with FM synthesis but somehow I like Phasemaker sound better... and I’m not chasing after classic fm sounds but cold and metallic, slightly distorted sine waves.
Fair enough. I just hate diving through a menu looking for the right algorithm, or discovering half way through my sound design that I really need this other routing instead... Grids - I just want grids.
But I would love it if NFM had other waveforms, and could do negative feedback like Drambo. And individual LFOs on everything...
I get it. NFM was my first fm synth on iOS because of the grid. It seems way more straightforward but my ears say phasemaker. Can’t say exactly why. Now imagine that MPE!!! @brambos
By the way, do you want a grid? Get a Linnstrument!
If I ever make a synth, which I might if Audiokit get AU3s working properly, it would be an FM synth with those things above. Nothing else. No effects. Just LFOs on every damn thing, multiple wave forms and a grid.
I get crackling in NFM on a Pro 10.5 manipulating certain parameters. How is your experience with that? Otherwise, really liking it.
Maybe... I don't think I've run into any problems playing it, but I may have had issues when tweaking things. Nothing very memorable if so. If you modulate the feedback really quickly and fast you'll get some pretty 'crackling' type sounds, but I think that's to be expected given what those parameters do.
It can be flaky in NS2 - but fairly sure that's NS2's fault. The developer did his best to fix it.
If you have apematrix then you can have a lot of fun using modulation on the base frequency of some of the operators. Get these really woody sounds...
Does anyone know how download servers fit in the iTunes Store?
There are a couple vendors that deliver there products over days, hours
and others than download in minutes, seconds. Does Apple make the developer
provide the download services or contract someone and NOT provide download
as a function of the store?
I bought a Session Band product and its been 2 days and the download hasn't started yet.
Crudebytes apps are typically my biggest headache... if the download is interupted it starts again with byte #1. Sometime that leads to multiple days to get something like a Colossal Piano IAP... and they make you click buy again to re-start the download. Still... nothing sounds better to me. But RC275 just works and is always ready to go.
I use the "delete apps that haven't need used recently "auto-storage-management option".
$5 for all this packs in is an insane bargain.
Is it a painful experience to work with?
I wouldn't use the word painful - I'd say it's UNFORGIVING. You really have to be into synthesis and having to manually make EVERY SINGLE CONNECTION.
If you're ok with that, then this is for you. If not, then no. It's a great app but it's SUPER hardcore.
Yes. It is definitely a long-quarantine app.
I think I am going to try it.
It looks very intriguing, but with all that manual labor I was worried if the experience was more frustrating than it needs to be.
Things like inconsistent touch register, frequent crashes when building projects, to many menu layers, etc.
The version history on this app is impressive, though. The developer definitely seems up to the task of maintaining this beast.
Also, just saw the Patch Storage section for miRack, and ended up looking into that Holon.ist app. That is some pretty cool stuff.
I’ve had a lot of fun with Analog Kit. It has such a fun interface and is deceptively powerful.
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/analogkit/id984597969
It looks so vast and functional, I figure $5 is worth it just to be able to get in and look around at all the crazy functions and features people have come up with. I started reading about some of the modules, and a good number seem to offer unique features or a new way of approaching musicraft.
Electronisounds and SoundForMore are both great resources for getting started with miRack.
Excellent!
Thank you.
