it looks like iceWorks apps are on sale
What will you order from todays menu?
Picked up Lumafusion at 1/3 discount.
Which is great but now I'm going to be struggling even more with 2018 32GB iPad.
Recommendations: External SSD or go Pro (with bigger HD)?
Im thinking about pickin it up to, 64GB here but I see struggle down the road, video files keep getting bigger and bigger, I have a GoPro camera, a 32gb card fills up quickly
Sorry, I meant should I get and SSD or for an iPad Pro? not a GoPro
Only you can know.
When I hear about the audio problems with the Pro models, I'd rather go for an SSD which has much more storage anyway. That will also make it much easier to carry the videos over to other machines. 100GB over WiFi will take a while 😉
I know it is my decision but asking others often throws up issues that I may not have thought about.
Are people experiencing audio issues with iPad Pros still?
At least I've read it here a few times until recently, especially with iOS 13.x.
And I bought Laplace and Mersenne yesterday 😅 Ah well, always nice to support a dev with the normal prices I guess ♥️
The only recent thing I have heard is about some issue with output being at 48Khz but I'm not even sure why that is a problem if I am just listening?
Have been harbouring lustful thoughts about the new iPad Pro anyway
THe larger screen size is going to be of great benefit I reckon after opening Lumafusion on my 9.7 iPad.
I’ve been similarly burned with the recent sales, you can only laugh
btw there’s some nice preset packs for those synths available on the forum
Hahah yeah I uderstood that, I was just saying how fast 32gb fills up with videos, in my case using a GoPro camera

And then I go and empty it and find only 28g avaliable on my mac, and 30 on my pad and on the cloud, my point is if you are going to do anything with video, always have an external drive ready + a nice big screen, so yeah, get both
Why is it always "get both" on this forum?!
I think you might be right though..
Would you have a link?
If your iPad can handle it, I’d go for an external SSD - you can always use it when you get a new iPad, and it’ll make transferring files to the desktop easier.
It’s a great app, but my Air 2 processor struggles a bit with it, particularly rendering, so you might want to do a test run first.
Maybe it’s time to get Kronecker. It looks pretty nifty and rhythmic.
That's the sensible option and I would always have that SSD and can upgrade later if I still want to..
Seemed ok with my 2018 iPad but the screen is a bit crowded.
Just trying to figure out whether to stick to just kronecker or go full iceworks mental, had Lorentz for years and love it...
Lorentz is the only one of theirs I don’t have 😅😅 Want to convince me on it?
Woa, brainfade, laplace, sorry 😂
Lagrange sounds great, though the presets are pretty thin in number. I’d have liked a greater variety to show the capabilities off. It’s the only Iceworks synth I have so far though.
Both if at all possible (though I would get an air with max storage if I had a do over). I use my 2018 pro mostly for video since it was so frustrating with music. It is ok but the video has a weird vibration occasionally. I think I’ve narrowed it down to an autofocus problem. I regularly film sports in 4K and the 256gb fills up pretty quickly. I have a 4TB hard drive that is about half full after a year. Transferring large files (~25GB) direct to hard drive fails 100% of the time. Have to connect both to my Mac. Lumafusion is great.
Kronecker is good, very different. I’ve got my eye on Lagrange...
Got it love it, arg redshrike marsenne the lot all look great and right up my streets 😂
You probably have these, but @richardyot has a great set of presets for Lagrange here.
Transferring large files direct from ipad pro 2018 to external hard drive. Small files work fine. Large files just get the spinning indicator for days and never complete (really annoying there is no progress indicator in the first place). Works fine using a Mac to import photos or use itunes file sharing to transfer from ipad.
Dang... I was already in doubt if I'd get Aparillo or Factory. Now throw in LaGrange and Kronecker to the mix
Chances are that the connection is lost due to power fluctuation. Have you tried using a powered connection to connect the HDD? Or more power? Personally I have best results with an SSD for moving things off-ipad.
