Yes, I have riffer and just got Playbeat for $1. Thanks!
Does Riffer and Playbeat have their own presets? Like beat patterns of riffs? Or all is randomized?
How does that work ?
I have riffer but play beat shows 4.99
Good call, thanks!
Go to the Audiomodern bundle that is for sale and open that listing. Scroll all the way to the bottom and all the way back to the top. Bundle should be priced at $1.
Then press up, up, down, down, left, right, b, a, Start and Drambo will make you a sandwich for lunch.
No preinstalled presets that I know of but you can save your own I think. I use them on an I phone and anything you have to read is microscopic so I could be missing something. Still fun to play with.
Likewise, cheers for the heads up on that!
😂
Very cool, thanks )
This might sound stupid but can you record midi into riffer? I don’t want it’s randomising features, but I’m so fed up with atom I need an alternative to quickly record midi into
No you can’t record midi into Riffer, that’s why Atom remains so uniquely useful.
Have you tried the Flow script in Mozaic? Really good for midi looping and you can edit notes (but no piano roll and a bit of a learning curve).
I have both Riffr and Playbeat but I can still buy the bundle for $7.99.
@cia. Whats NPD -any info cheers
It's a phase distortion synth by Nikolozi
@Gavinski ok thanks
Can’t record BUT you can type in and edit.
All individual instruments and effects from Arturia are 50% off until May 7th. Sound banks too

Isotonik has just released Ableton Max device Noiss Control pack for free, for a week.
https://isotonikstudios.com/product/control-pack-external-instruments/
This is actually a really good set of devices and was on my wishlist, including a CC manager (useful for controlling ios synths from Ableton or external synths etc) and a randomiser.
Galileo 2 Essential Bundle IAP 50%
There are several Arturia Synths? Can anyone suggest a ranking or must buy app? I like morphed/evolving sounds lately like the iWaveStation.
The closest from Arturia would probably be iProphet.
It has some evolving pads and features a joystick to use on existing patches or to create your own.
That looks interesting - can it control internal synth plugins?
I waited for this to get Pigments. Not because of the sound (which isn‘t bad - but I own enough WT-Synths), just because of the modulation possibilities and the visualisation of all. For morphing and evolving very handy...
Ok - it isn‘t an app, it is VST...
Yeah sure you could use it for internal synths too
Agreed 100%. But be prepared to invest some time, be ready to live with a number of bugs that have never been fixed and also it's not an AUv3.
Seriously, if you have iWavestation and know how to use it then you don't need iProphet.
Since it emulates the VS rather than the Prophet 5, it won't give you those tasty analog sounds either.
Arturia is a shady company though. Ethically it's on a par with Behringer. I've been avoiding their stuff for a while due to the bad vibes.
It looks like they target classic synths and I have that covered with so many apps already: Syntronik.
I'm not a sound designer generally so... I'll keep looking for great deals but I'm pretty close to having very few niches left. Programmable apps will probably get my attention going forward just for something to "play" with in more of a metal exercise sense.
I'll probably just use Evolver demos to inspire me to make Mozaic scripts with similar features for
sequencing uses.
Ah cheers - I’ll have to grab these then, thanks!
In what way is Arturia a bad actor?
The only ethical complaint that I have ever seen was when some Mutable Instruments fans felt that Arturia had been misleading in a press release that implied Mutable Instruments was an active partner in the Microfreak. Arturia clarified the language promptly, and Emilie (creator of Mutable Instruments) issued a note on the Mutable Instruments forum saying she had no complaint about their use of her code.
