I dunno what it is about this, but I find it very, very satisfying. It's a favorite already (48khz bug notwithstanding.)

Likewise, very easy to find the sound I’m after. Had a great jam last night with just this and 808 and it didn’t feel like it was lacking anything.

If someone buys it by mistake, and then refunds, I guess that costs you ? At top tier that’s gonna hurt.

We're pretty familiar with all the latest and past information on this topic, and 90% we won't be charged. But, anything is possible...

    :sunglasses:

  • Man, I like using the “custom” setting on AudioTune app. Found a cool chain on Fx to put before and after for some great experimental vox.

The retro piano is what I’ve been looking for (just posted a thread about it not too long ago).

Still digging in! Thanks again @analog_matt

  • @analog_matt Want to make sure you saw the info here about the key being off on 48khz vs 44.1khz. Really holding me back from using retro piano. Love the sound but definitely making it difficult to use it.

  • Just curious what happens if there are issues with these apps a month (or more) after they are no longer available. Does support continue?

  • Thanks folks. The 48khz issue will be fixed this week. Along with some AU stability and recall improvements.
@Ailerom - The apps will be updated w/ every iOS version as long as AudioKit is still making/supporting apps. The good thing about these apps is that they're simple, so much easier to update. Thanks for asking

    Gracias!

  • I have recognized that the master volume in the retro piano resets every time I open a project in GarageBand.

Thanks, that was my only concern. Great news.

  • Apps great on iPad but the aspect ratio is terrible on my iPhone, I don’t know if has been brought up already.

  • I have noticed size issues on my iPad. Even in landscape sometimes the GUI is larger than usual, no matter how I resize the window in AUM. It makes everything larger, knobs etc. and cuts off the sides, where the level meters are. It Only does this sometimes but it happens with both the 808 and the retro piano. I’m on iPad 6 with newest iOS 13.5.1

  • ❤️ the sounds emanating from Retro Piano.. It’s exactly what I’m looking for 90% of the time..
Character + personality.. scars + flaws.. dirt + grime.. It’s beautiful!
Thanks for this great Piano @analog_matt + the Audiokit team.. well done..

    What about the missing samples?

  • @TheOriginalPaulB said:

Retropiano is missing some samples. Highest velocity samples below B0 don’t sound, other velocity samples are fine.

I'll look into this. I wasn't aware that we even had samples below C0...

Sorry I meant AudioTune. 2 new apps so soon, putting me in a tailspin.

Just going by the labels on the on-screen keyboard, which is what I was playing...

Just tried a delete/reinstall and the keyboard labels now only go down to C0, still the same audible pitch as before, at -2 octaves, and highest velocity samples for lowest notes up to Bb still missing. Strange.

  • This piano Is awesome!! The tone, FX and Features are all on point!!
Indeed it’s missing some bass notes velocities.
The midi mapping works in standalone (with the exception of the crush button that can’t be assigned), but doesn’t work in AUM with app maps nor via AU parameters

  • I love the app and it’s free!! I’m not complaining!,

  • Found the missing samples. Will be fixed this week! 🙏

  • Well done. Down the back of the sofa?

  • One question: is it completely out of tune? I wasn’t able to play it along anything else ;)

It's in tune if the host is set to 44K, but not yet at 48K. They say they'll have it fixed soon.

  • They released an update for the fix. Just downloaded it.

  • It's now playing nicely alongside Ravenscroft at 48k. Cheers! Thanks @analog_mat and Audiokit team!

Thanks Wim! Really appreciate it ! Makes a LOT of sense. Thanks for the headsup!

Beside that, it sounds FANTASTIC! Thanks @analog_matt again!

Ha! That post was made obsolete literally as I was typing it. :D
    The fix is already out.

    Hey folks –
Wanted to provide a friendly heads up that the final day to get the first limited edition app, Bass 808 Synth, will be this Friday, June 12th. Hopefully we extended it enough to allow everyone to get it.

    Available here:
    https://apps.apple.com/us/app/bass-808-synth-auv3-platinum/id1502480224

Please let any friends know who may not read these boards. 🙏
And, we do have some improvements planned for Bass 808, including the new preset system that's in Retro Piano. And, hopefully we can get that UI to scale a little better on bigger iPads in AUM.
