You need to map au params to drambo knobs first, just tap on MAP on AU view. Automation is yet to come.
To send modulations to an Au?
Open up the Au?
Tap the map button in the right hand corner.
It should flash red.
Toggle the parameter you would like to modulate.
When you close the au window
It should look like this on the left side of the
module dependent upon how many you toggled.
Are you referring to "step-less" as opposed to p-lock modulation? :O
Brilliant! Cool it’s free for everyone, though I was totally wanting to support the development of this, I know it was a lot of work to get done.
@giku_beepstreet I may be running into an issue. I have an envelope loaded in the AU processor rack. (The breakout AU module from iVCS3, called ‘Envelope’). When I send it a midi signal it, it stays latched open. I don’t think it’s user error, because when I open the AU, I can manually trigger it after which the envelope will close.
Holy moly. Thanks folks. This is just incredible. I’d drifted away from the iPad for music, but this is, how do you say, a game changer?
Will host an sb drum machine ( if it sequences drum machine ) whilst maintaining rolls etc on another ipad. How many tracks does a Drambo host, host?
Just started a system just ( buying zoom u44 and soon an ipad ) mainly for shoom. Madness really.
And , how do we get presets like in Troublemaker?
@giku_beepstreet Update: trigs placed on the timeline sequencer will trigger the envelope in the AU processor as expected. But live playing still keeps it latched open.
I can’t wait for. “Hi this is Ben”. Video for this!!
HOLY BALLS OF THE SWEET LORD
Your iPad magic keyboard can now be used as a goddamn midi controller!! It also plays notes!!
Completely mappable Bluetooth keyboard ya’ll - the one with letters and numbers on it.
Insane!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thank you for that info.
also the is an amazing way to have just the parameters exposed that you want to control during the jam.. wowzers
updated, playing now...AUv3s in Drambo? feels like i'm in a fever dream
edit: the mapping/p-locking of Auv3 targets works like a dream.
Major, major kudos to Giku
😂 this comment might be enough to get me to purchase one someday lol
Got a question already, does anyone known how to record midi to the steps on a track when you have a midi generator on that track. For example i have chord bud triggering chords on track 1, when i hit record those triggers don’t record to the steps. Is there some way i need to route midi to them?
I’d like to record to the steps so I can’t delete the midi generator and not have to triggering all the time
Hope that makes sense
Thanks
Can one of you drambo geniuses explain how I can capture midi fx out put into the drambo sequencer, for example to record these fugue machine notes....

I bought mine a month ago. Literally every time I’ve had Drambo open with that keyboard sitting in front of me I wished I could map those buttons as controllers. This took me completely by surprise. It shouldn’t be understated how big this feature actually is!
Aside from Drambo support, the keyboard has actually made the entire iPad experience more enjoyable for me. Web research, taking notes, writing emails - can actually be done now haha. Serves as a great stand too
For me best investment I have made in a long time..... and now with this...... GOLD!!!
Yesssssss!!! Thankyou @giku_beepstreet
This is the start of a whole new thing!!
This is not possible yet
So I haven’t been able to figure it out either. Hopefully there will be an option to ‘receive midi from: track’ in the future.
But:
You can put an instance of Drambo after your generator. Route midi from you generator into the AU instance of Drambo, turn record on, and viola! You’ve captured it on the main sequencer in that AU Drambo. Then you could save the project and load it up as the main host, if you wanted. Not a perfect solution, but hey 🤗
Thanks, plenty of other awesomeness to keep me occupied until it is
Thanks
I have loaded LK and Korg Module Pro in Drambo. How do I route LK midi output channel 1 to korg Module Pro?
For now you probably can use Mozaic or anthing similar
Based on the picture, it's already routed - Module Pro has red MIDI input and LK has red top of the unit so they should be connected. Then it's just matter of filtering channel either in Module Pro, or you can put e.g. MIDI filter unit in between.
Ok, thanks
Thanks I will try to do that 👍
Just a note, there is no MIDI channel filter unit in Drambo AFAIK, only the note filter. But as was mentioned - you can use either Mozaic or any other MIDI filtering AU that does the job.
Honestly, I am trying to persuade LK developer to allow for multiple MIDI outputs, as MIDI channels are limiting and a bit cumbersome to use.
@giku_beepstreet - THANK YOU!!! Best Sonic Fun ever...
