AudioKit AudioTune Released + Funny Video
AUDIOTUNE: LIMITED EDITION APP
Created by @danielfromcodalabs, it tunes audio, automatically. It’s fun, easy, simple and works like a charm. I’m honored that he chose to work with us at AudioKit to release it for you.
This is legitimately fun. I'm playing with this thing every day.
If you need a distraction and laugh, watch this It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia parody above.

Bought. It rocks.
@analog_matt what a day🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥
What they both came out.. sweet!
Audiokit Day!!!
Thanks @analog_matt Audiotune is tons of fun right off the bat... can wait to put both these new apps to good use.
Now, we're talking!

I couldn't find it via the App store, but clicking on this link... got me to it.
Haven't downloaded the app yet (still having fun with the retro piano gem!) but I'll get to it in a bit. Regardless, that video is great. It's so refreshing to see good products delivered in a great model (giving back to the dev community) WHILE HAVING FUN. A+
Love it. Another great addition to the AudioKit Pro collection! Though I thought I saw somewhere that there was going to be midi input for the AudioTune? Maybe I’m mistaken.
MIDI input is available in the AUv3.
Ahhh, ok! Thanks for the quick response! Just playing around in stand alone atm!
I hesitated buying at the App Store...then watched the video and immediately purchased. GOOD JOB ON THE VIDEO 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Lol awesome video, you guys are doing great things
purchasing now even though I have like... I don’t know how many of these types of apps haha
Is it possible to make this not a limited release?
There's nothing else in the appstore like it, and I'd like to use it for years to come.
You can use it until the end of time as long as you download before the end of July!
You won't lose it once you've got it. See the App description
You will be able to use it forever. Removing it for sale doesn't make it disappear. It will still be in your purchased apps list.
Ah that's good.
Thanks mates.
@danielfromcodalabs Congrats Mister D!
@danielfromcodalabs : hi, just got it, loving using it on instruments inside AUM (I don’t sing... not even autot*ned), thank you!:)
Use case suggestion/request - would it be possible in a future update to add a MIDI Out from the pitch correction? As it is already displaying the pitch visually on screen I assume this could be done? I could then use it’s pitch correction driven by one audio loop feeding into it to play out to another instrument in a separate channel, sort of auto audio to midi conversion?
I make a lot of live musical phrase loops through various automatic processes for which, not being particularly musically gifted, I often then find it very hard to create pitched sequence accompaniments to run alongside, since four or five overdubs down the line I don’t even always know what notes I was using in the first place.
Being able to run a cool little audio loop and have it automagically generate a midi version of itself on another channel on it’s own therefore would be awesome.
Even if it was just ball park pitch wise, it would give me a starter for ten to build out from. I could for example capture the resultant midi in Atom, manually tweak errors, and edit/work up the evolved midi on anything I liked. This would be fantastic if possible.
If speed of processing is an issue, it wouldn’t even need to be real-time if it could generate a standard midi file ‘offline’ from being fed a loop, as I could use Photon AU, Musk Player, or BS 16 to play the resultant standard .mid file. Just a thought.
Ha! Great Video! I guess it's time to start exercising the vocal chops and see what this thing can do.. but I may have to experiment with this on a few other things first.. thanks for the new toy @danielfromcodalabs
Hey, glad you like it! I’ll definitely consider this.
Great! I’ll keep my fingers crossed
hey yall is Audiotune in possession of a master tune? i have 4Pockets autotune app and i can change that to 432hz, curious if this one works in that way as well?
Hey there, 440 is the only option right now, but we can add this in a free update.
@Svetlovska @danielfromcodalabs That really is a great idea.
Maybe you could use the same code and interface to create a dedicated "Voice to MIDI" app. All you would need is a "gain threshold" knob in place of the "amount" and "speed" knobs for the Note On and Note Off messages. That would allow AudioTune to maintain its "Limited Edition" spirit.
I think a lot of people would be interested in buying that. I certainly would!
Great idea! I downloaded an app like this recently called Recordea: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/recordea-voice-to-midi/id1454684605
But maybe AudioKit can do it better 😉
EDIT: it appears that app has been removed from the store. So it looks like the market is wide open!
Wiiiiiiide.......open!

King
Right on, purchasing now then
Thanks for the release, ios needed a good pitch corrector.
Unfortunately, I have some problems when I load audiotune via AU in Beatmaker 3. There is an issue, where it only play the c note until you deselect it manually, which you have to do every time.
It also seems to pitch it to notes which are not on the scale (The are grey, but I see they get triggerd by the sound)
Edit: found out, that its because the amount was lesser 100% so it shows you the real notes, so it works fine
Am I doing something wrong?
Also midi input doesn't seem to work for me.
@danielfromcodalabs thanks for the app, a good AutoTune was highly expected. I have however noticed that a clean C is recognized as a D. Is it possible to “retune the AutoTune” ?
