  • @danielfromcodalabs on iPad Pro 12.9 the GUI doesn’t scale correctly in GB (bottom portion is cut off). Same issue in Cubasis Letterbox/rack view...any plans to address?

Also midi input doesn't seem to work for me.

Not super familiar with Cubasis, but from what I’ve seen a lot of DAWs don’t yet support MIDI input for FX. I tested the MIDI in AUM.

@danielfromcodalabs thanks for the app, a good AutoTune was highly expected. I have however noticed that a clean C is recognized as a D. Is it possible to “retune the AutoTune” ?

Make sure your host sample rate is at 48000. Sorry, will fix in the next update.

I made a track with the Retro Piano playing the rhythm part and decided to use it for an AudioTune test drive.

I start with AudioTune off to give a sense of the pitch issues.
Then after 20 seconds it's on and off in 20 second cycles.

It forced pitches into C major but some were so flat they just stayed a 1/2 step off
but you can hear the struggle in real-time:

Don't try this at home around humans.

  • @danielfromcodalabs @analog_matt thanks guys for the release! its a great app. I know you are getting tons of feature request, so i thought id throw in my two cents. I would love a Formant shifter knob!! Really takes vocal tuning to the next level. Thanks again for your amazing app!

MONOPHONIC sources work best for these types of apps!

Don't apologize! I appreciate the wacky sound as yet another tool. I'll check my sample rate
and try to remember that changing it can be wacky fun. I also used 2 Rozeta Scalers to forces a lot of "bad notes".

Then I tested AudioTune to see if it might patch my mess and in many cases it did. It's great to have a tool to fix the "rare" bum note or some bum's voice.

Are you feeding that entire track through AudioTune? That won’t work. It’s for monophonic signals - meaning only one note at a time. No chords

Thanks for the release, ios needed a good pitch corrector.

Unfortunately, I have some problems when I load audiotune via AU in Beatmaker 3. There is an issue, where it only play the c note until you deselect it manually, which you have to do every time.

It also seems to pitch it to notes which are not on the scale (The are grey, but I see they get triggerd by the sound)

Edit: found out, that its because the amount was lesser 100% so it shows you the real notes, so it works fine

    Am I doing something wrong?

Also midi input doesn't seem to work for me.

Having similar issues in BM3 with being stuck in C. Also get some deep Vox froM time to time which is not correct for the scale.

  • @danielfromcodalabs Audio is real cool. I’m enjoying the app but quick question how does the midi functionality work... like a midi scaler, that forces the incoming notes to the set scale? Cause the only place I see the app on the list in AUM is in the audio effect spaces. I’m curious what are the possible midi applications?

  • @analog_matt 3 Audiokit Apps in US Top 10 Music Apps, 2 of which involve @danielfromcodalabs
    Congrats

You can play a note on a MIDI keyboard and the app will tune to that note.

  • @danielfromcodalabs Yea I completely forgot about that. I just remembered seeing that in one of the promo videos as well. Thanks.

  • Hi everyone, I just released an update with some critical fixes & improvements:

    • AudioTune now works with higher frequencies - up to 2000Hz
    • Added pitch standard setting - tap the menu icon at the top left
    • Fixed bug where the AUv3 didn't read the host's sample rate
    • Fixed layout on iPhone SE
    • Fixed layout in GarageBand
  • Can someone let me in how this is possible to be used as an AU plugin tuner for guitar ?!

  • Unfortunately it's still not working in Beatmaker 3 for me

Email me some specifics and I’ll get it fixed for you. “Not working” doesn’t tell me much :)

  • OK thanks, did send out a Mail with the issue. Thank you for addressing it.

  • Hey, how is the formant gender aspect? I want like over the top robotic sounding tones, not natural at all. Am I barking up the wrong tree and should get t-pain? This is a secret I've been holding back I really want to be britanny as a robot in 1980. Thanks!

It’ll sound pretty robotic with the speed turned all the way up. You might have better luck with a vocoder if you want something really over the top.

Any idea why I get this error?

  • Thanks, perhaps vocoder is the path. Cheers and all

Audiotune works perfectly as a stand-alone. In Cubasis 2.8.3, I’m having crashes, (and other errors such as the Audiotune screen will go blank), after the sample is played. Then the effect stops working entirely on playback.

And by crashing, I mean that upon rollback over the vocal, Audiotune will get all garbled and then stop working. (But Cubasis will remain functioning)

    I’m on a 2017 IPad Pro 10.5. iPadOS 13.4.1

Are you on the very latest version (1.15)? Email me and we can discuss - [email protected]

  • Just updated. Supposed to be more CPU efficient, but it still burns all resources like it’s mining crypto currency.

On iPhone 6s, but even moog model D is much more efficient on my device.
