@SimonSomeone Afaik Yes to all those although I havent done it. Its a good idea. Ill try and let you know, I like these little challenges.
If you are allowed to map a CC to a AUM track volume parameter, than yes. Otherwise I'm sure yet.
Yes, clip triggering is quantized and you can select the clip triggering quantization on the status bar of the matrix midi module
thanks for the replies, folks
@sinosoidal great update and thanks for your work but sadly I keep getting CPU peaks when adding or deleting a track resulting in audio clip. Just a synth running, both on AUM and standalone version. Is my 2015 iPad Pro too old?
Over to you now... KORG...
Step input?
Vert cool to see midi CC in the house but I did get a little bug where a node seemed unresponsive.
@audiogus Just a thought. Did you change the quantize setting at some point?
I added points with 1/16 quantize then changed q to 1/4 and then I couldnt change the points inbetween the 1/4 notes
@AudioGus and @sinosoidal This happens e.g. when writing automation points using a fine grid, then switching to a wider grid and editing the points.
Which would be the best behavior then? Just delete everything in between the new edits?
We need to investigate. Thanks for reporting.
Thank you!
This is actually the first time I even added CC automation. I just had an old project loaded which was already on 1/32 and this happened within the first 10 seconds of trying the new CC automation feature. I did not change the grid at all.
I don't see why not, as long as your controller can send MIDI cc's. Each clip has a setting for channel and CC to trigger it.
Yes, launch is quantized to the next bar.
By default, but can be set according to your needs. Top - 'TRIGGER QUANT.'
Messing around with program change - pretty cool!
@sinosoidal - thanks for this update. The new CC automation works really well - either piped to other apps in AUM or for controlling automation parameters via AUM. Combined with the power of Follow actions and the fact that multiple clips can hold different lengths of CC automations really opens up AUM as an automation monster.
OK.. I don’t know how long Custom Scale has been in the Keyboard Module BUT.. Thank you!! 🙏 👏 👍
I’ve recently been searching high + low for this very thing (to use in AUM) and it’s been here the whole time.. crazy.. 🤪
Q: Would it be possible to save our own custom scales within the keyboard module? @sinosoidal
Sorry.. a bit OT but I think it’s important to point out for anyone else looking for this option.. I couldn’t find it anywhere else..
Custom Scale in the Keyboard Module
+100, I love being able to create custom scales!
And please @sinosoidal make the "mini scale keyboard" look a bit more like a traditional keyboard, e.g. by moving the sharp notes rectangles upwards. Thank you!
If there is insufficient screen space to do that, maybe you could allow moving that separator bar upwards a little:
Ha! That would make it a bit easier to pick the right notes that you need.. - BUT - there’s always a chance to pick a happy accident the way it is now.. 😁
Hehe, I do prefer to limit the direction before letting the accidents happen on the keyboard 😉
I'm thinking midi CCs can only be recorded into the sequencer, not drawn? I can't see how to draw anything other than a note currently.
Drag up the horizontal separator below the piano roll and choose the pen next to the eraser 😊
I know there’s a clickable 'bar' between the clip view and the piano roll. But here’s 2 pics showing what happens when I move my finger upward from the black area below the piano roll. I'd describe it as 'nothing'. No pen, no eraser, no nothing.
So I might be doing it wrong...
(imagine motion of finger)
Are you running the latest version 1.8.0? It seems not.
I can't reproduce this either, neither in standalone nor in AUv3.
From what I see in the screenshots, @SimonSomeone is still using 1.7.6. Can you please check the version in Menu->About?
yes it appears I am using that v1.7.6, I just purchased the IAP. To be honest I'm not sure how to force apps to update but I'll work it out. Delete it and redownload maybe...
Don't need to delete. Just open the App Store app and search for LK and install the update (or simply go to the updates section of the App Store app).
Ok, thanks for that, all you wise people, lots of new things in there!
One side note, important to know: If you delete and reinstall an app, you will lose all data saved inside the app.
If you update, saved data is kept intact. Have fun!
