And please @sinosoidal make the "mini scale keyboard" look a bit more like a traditional keyboard, e.g. by moving the sharp notes rectangles upwards. Thank you!

Ha! That would make it a bit easier to pick the right notes that you need.. - BUT - there’s always a chance to pick a happy accident the way it is now.. 😁

Hehe, I do prefer to limit the direction before letting the accidents happen on the keyboard 😉

  • I'm thinking midi CCs can only be recorded into the sequencer, not drawn? I can't see how to draw anything other than a note currently.

Drag up the horizontal separator below the piano roll and choose the pen next to the eraser 😊

  • I know there’s a clickable 'bar' between the clip view and the piano roll. But here’s 2 pics showing what happens when I move my finger upward from the black area below the piano roll. I'd describe it as 'nothing'. No pen, no eraser, no nothing.
So I might be doing it wrong...

    (imagine motion of finger)

Are you running the latest version 1.8.0? It seems not.

I can't reproduce this either, neither in standalone nor in AUv3.

From what I see in the screenshots, @SimonSomeone is still using 1.7.6. Can you please check the version in Menu->About?

  • yes it appears I am using that v1.7.6, I just purchased the IAP. To be honest I'm not sure how to force apps to update but I'll work it out. Delete it and redownload maybe...

Don't need to delete. Just open the App Store app and search for LK and install the update (or simply go to the updates section of the App Store app).

  • Ok, thanks for that, all you wise people, lots of new things in there!

One side note, important to know: If you delete and reinstall an app, you will lose all data saved inside the app.
If you update, saved data is kept intact. Have fun!

  • @rs2000, yep learned that one the hard way a while ago. Thanks for mentioning it though. I thought it would be OK for this app as I hadn't really done anything yet.

LK is still reminding me to purchase it though, I checked and the purchase is registered to my account. It says 'pending' which I guess is the oficial banking stuff that goes on? not sure. Maybe it's something to do with that, or maybe a restart will sort it.

iOS and Android in-app purchases are kept in the respective Apple and Google accounts. All you need to do is to restore your purchases Menu->Store->Restore Purchases

We allow purchases registering on our user account dashboard if the purchase or purchase restore is done while logged in.

    What does say "pending"?

  • @sinosoidal, thanks, the restore purchases thing worked, I now have a tick beside Matrix.

Re 'pending', earlier I'd searched how to check if an App store payment had happened successfully. When I found the list of purchases, beside LK it said 'pending'. So I googled that. It means the purchase happened, but the banking stuff is still processing the actual transfer of money. That's how I understood it.

So it's all good now, and I'm enjoying seeing LK controlling the volume in AUM, and setting a loop to record in Group the Loop. Looking good!

Glad everything is sorted out now! Have fun with LK!

Don't need to delete. Just open the App Store app and search for LK and install the update (or simply go to the updates section of the App Store app).

And remember, when you search in the App Store, the app thumbnail will show "Open", but when you view the app page, it will show "Update" if one is available.

You can enable automatic updates in Setttings–>iTunes & App Store. It seems to check about once a day.

  • @sinosoidal I noticed one minor issue (sorry if it was mentioned before). When renaming tracks or scenes the iPad's on-screen keyboard covers LK's dialog so you can't see what you are typing. I've seen apps move the dialog upwards when the keyboard appears on screen so it stays visible, a thing to consider. I'm on a standard 9.7" iPad, maybe the issue is not visible on iPads with bigger screens.

I've stumbled on this myself. We will fix it. Thanks for reporting.

  • Hi @sinosoidal - I think I found a bug. Copying a pattern and pasting to a new scene doesn’t copy the cc automation.

Other than that, it’s working great. Excellent update!

Hi. Do you mean copy a clip using the context menu and pasting it to a new slot? Thanks!

This can be worked around but not really be avoided in AUM or in any host that has floating windows. AFAIK the AUv3 plugin cannot actively move its own window (except @j_liljedahl would add appropriate MIDI CC for window position 😂)

Yes, by long pressing, selecting copy, then long pressing in another scene and selecting paste. Thanks.

Identified! Will be fixed. Thanks for letting us know.

  • Hi @sinosoidal , I try again to expose my problem with a video. If you look at the CPU indicator when I add or delete a track you will notice that it peaks at 100%, this will cause audio clipping if the synth is in action. Does it happen because my 2015 iPad Pro is too old?
    Thanks again for your work.

No. The problem is not your iPad. I have the same problem on my iPad Pro device. This is a problem and must be fixed.

  • @sinosoidal thank you so much, I will be waiting patiently for an update, LK's workflow is my favorite and has had great updates lately.

Thanks for your feedback. We are already testing 1.8.1. Are you in TestFlight, if not, send me a private message with your email.

I've just uploaded build 41 but this bug will not be fixed yet. However, we have made significant improvements to the piano roll, namely point out the notes of the selected scale and root key, which can be chosen from the clip properties panel.

  • I can't find how to close the clip properties panel once it's been opened. any clues?

Do you mean the piano roll editor? Drag the "= =" down from the top-center.
Do you mean the panel at the right of the piano roll with the name, color, length, etc? Tap the ℹat the top-right.
