The new feature crop clip to selection (new toolbar button next to fit viewport) works fine 😊

    Description:

It will allow you to crop a clip to the selection. It allows you to quickly get rid of everything that is outside of the selection.

You drag to make a selection and it can include notes or not. The crop will adjust the start and end of the clip and delete any notes that are outside the area and include only those who are inside the area.

    Example:

    Brilliant feature. 👏

Agreed! And thanks @sinosoidal for still making it start in the right place in the bar.

The crop are actually doesn’t depend on the selected notes, but on the selection area represented by a blue-ish line underneath the loop indicator. You don’t even have to select any notes to be able to crop.

In the latest beta we have added a snap to zero feature when toolbar snap function (magnet icon) is enabled. Please let me know if this helps.

That is definitely on the right track, one problem is (and this goes for many functions when entering values on iDevices) that when you lift your finger, or in my case, pen: the number moves. I think the snap could be firmer if that's possible. Also, if the value indicator could be on a little longer, I refer to the white numbers showing when you move a point. If they could remain after you lifted your finger/pen a little while longer - you'd know you got it right. Anyway, thanks.

  • Hi @sinosoidal I have a problem with mapping. I create 8 traks and 2 scenes and with the Midi Learn i mapped each clip with the 16 pads on my Novation Launchkey Mini MK3. After I armed a track I vould like engage the clip but mapping don’t match. Happen both on AUM and also standalone, both if I send Note that if I send CC.
    Thanks

We need to investigate. Thanks for reporting.

  • We have published a new beta that has scene follow actions. We are looking forward to hear your thoughts about it to see if it needs tweaking.

    Tried this tonight. Brilliant feature!

It was a bit tricky at first. I think it required re-triggering the scene after the scene action is added, vs working right away after making the change. After this, it starts working really well.

I've been there. It is actually an implementation detail. We might need to make it more dynamic indeed in order to avoid the retriggering. That's why it is important to thave your feedback!

Wow this is the feature I’ve been waiting for. Just gave it a try and it worked how I wanted. Thank you!

I kinda expected to have to retrigger the scene as it gives you time to choose the amount of bars etc before it’s suddenly on the next scene. If I’m understanding correctly anyway!

Awesome, this was my most anticipated feature!

At first I was confused because LK wasn't in "scene launch" mode so when I pressed play in my host (AUM, clock source linked to host), scene follow actions were ignored. Once I tapped the first scene and pressed play in AUM the scene follow actions worked as expected.

Maybe some kind of indicator is needed to inform us if a scene is set to launch Maybe a play icon in the bottom right corner of the selected scene (the indicator would follow the currently playing scene). What do you thinks, does it make sense?

Since by default the scene length is 0, LK skips scenes if you set a follow action, but don't set the length. So, I was thinking it would be useful if LK could read the longest clip in a scene and automatically set the scene length based on that.
Also, in that case it would be nice to have x2 and /2 buttons like in clip properties to speed up the workflow.

OK thanks. If you want to replicate the problem you can also try the AUM's internal keyboard or a software controller like KB-1. You need to add two or more scenes

Wow. Song mode!. 🙌👏👏👏👏 When using LK to do songs in AUM I had to be looking at it, ready to trigger the next scene even though I knew exactly when it should happen. No more. Now I can tweak parameters or roll a cigarette.
Superb for us, terrible for you as it opens a world of requests! 😬

  • @sinosoidal Did you have a tip jar???? I would send you mad cash!!!!

I think that 'follow action' was created when we did not imagine that computers would be this powerful, today..

  • @sinosoidal Trying to find the new Multi-track Keyboard Layout in the latest beta, but not sure where to look?

Got it, thanks. I was thinking this was something else. Oops. :)

I was imagining- either 1) a keyword controller layout that would target multiple tracks in LK e.g. top keyword for one track, bottom for another, or 2) an easy way to record multiple tracks at once.

If you press SHIFT+ TRACK ARM you can have more than one track armed for recording.

This was actually request by a user. It is the midi mapping for https://apps.apple.com/us/app/multitrack-recorder-plugin/id1483833410#?platform=ipad

    No biggy...

Thanks for the update... Digging in..

  • LK has been updated to version 1.10.3 with the followings changes:

    • New feature: scene follow actions
    • New feature: crop clip to selection
    • Deinitialize controllers when app quits
    • Prevent matrix context menu to open when shift is pressed to prevent collision with clip drag copy
    • Add Multitrack Recorder keyboard layout
    • Don't send clip automation when track is muted
    • Fixed a problem that would cause Live mode to stall or lag when connected to Live
    • General bug fixes and improvements

Thanks to those who have been helping with the testing.

  • @sinosoidal : I noticed a (small) bug in LK: the FOLLOW ACTIONS for clips are not saved... (not in AUM-sessions, (state-saving), and not in LK-presets. I hope very much you can solve this.
