If you arm the track and make sure monitoring is on you should be able to hear your playing. When you’re ready to record press record on the bottom bar.

@sinosoidal Wonder if it's just me but I'll shoot it out in the open...

I've been using my LPPro3 with Live Lite and LK and noticed a few differences.

In LK when I tap 'rec' near the end of the bar (to stop recording at the end of the bar) while holding a chord the last held chord/notes are not recorded?! (I usually hold down the chord with one hand and tap 'rec' with the other hand).

In Live when tap the 'rec' near the end of the bar the last held notes are recorded just as they should.

So it feels to me that LK prematurely stops recording before it's reaches the end of the bar?!
(Ie. it stops recording new notes the moment I tap the 'rec' button but the recording indicator is lit until the bar ends).

Other features I'd love to see is 'trim clip to selection'.
For example if the recording I want to keep starts at bar 2 I have to manually move the notes.

I'm still both a LPPro and LK newbie so if this is intended behavior feel free to ignore the post...

Hi @sinosoidal , I have big problems.. no strike that: it’s impossible to get a zero value when automating pitch bend. If there’s a trick I’m missing please tell. 😳 Closest this get is 32, zero never even shows. This would be good if one could select the node and type a value as pitch are sensitive stuff. 🎹😁

Can we Copy paste selection of midi notes into another clip or anywhere?
Can when we import midi and have it append onto the end of clip?

I’ve just finally had a chance to put together a setup of LK launching atom 2 clips and it’s great! Will post a video soon.

Not sure I’ll need atom in my setup for every track but it is a nice place to start off a quick idea and has the extra depth when you want it.

I do prefer the neatness of LK’s grid to launching a grid of atoms in AUM, but atom is a super quick way to get something started. The best thing about this modular setup is that you can pick and choose which bits you want/need.

What a great time to be an iOS musician! Roll on Loopy pro!!

Another nice bonus is that you can use one atom instance in multiple LK clips. This is great if you’re arranging a whole song in LK as you can edit one atom instance to update all those LK clips together.
LK can still look after the automation duties on those clips.

This all feels truly modular.

Are you trying to load LK inside BM3? or loading as standalone and sending to BeatMaker?

LK crossover from a Ableton only controller to iOS got me thinking if AppBC Touchable Pro would ever go that way. Is pretty highly Ableton integrated now. Would be interested to see if it could be shoehorned into iOS as a app controller.

Currently when closing LK in AUM the LPPro3 is stuck in session mode...
(Ie. the session light is still on even though the LPPRo3 is not connected to any session).

When I for example close Ampify Launcpad (Which also uses session mode) the LPPro3 goes out of session mode when the app is closed. The manual mentions some SysEX strings that are used to toggle session mode on/off.

I am a LP newbie so this could be a 'user error' as well...
...I've read the manuals more than once but I'm not a master of the device yet but I do love the built-in sequencer

@Samu are you in the beta? In the latest beta we have add the deinitialization of controllers on LK exit. Can you please confirm if the problem is solved? Thx!

Have you figured out how to use the "Geoshred" mode or PUSH mode of LP Pro for inputing MIDI to Atom or LK? That is one of my fundamental needs. (Surprisingly, you cannot do that with the LP sequencer itself!)

I have a ROLI LightPad and enjoy playing the LP Pro in a similar fashion. In certain ways, it's a plus that it's not MPC.

I'm not on the beta at the moment...
...It's not a biggie now that I know how it works.

I was just curious as even Apples Logic Pro fails to 'release' the LPPro3 when closing Logic Pro!
(Apple is aware of it but since there's no time-line for Logic Pro updates no one knows when the fix will come).

I'll tag you in another post I made regarding 'missed notes' when tapping the record button before the bar ends.
(Ie. the last held notes are not recorded if I tap the record button again before releasing the keys).

Nope I didn’t even know there was a push mode 😂
