The Blow-Job Flamingos. Fine band.
This thread got me back into BM3 a bit. But still so bugged 🦀🦀🦀👎
Choose note repeat on one bank and it applies it to all of them lol.
@BroCoast Excellent! I shall give this a go. I was trying to use the Drambo AU inside BM3.
EDIT: I think I’ll skip this. Every time I try to use more than one iOS app, this is exactly the kind of thing that happens — a daisy-chain of potential failure.
Thanks so much for posting those screenshots though!
@mistercharlie true This is why I’am back on bm3 . It does a lot of good stuff on its own.
@stormbeats Good point.
BM3 Forever
More and more I want the one stop, all in one. Then I move restlessly among them
I was late to the game with bm3 and kicked myself after grabbing it as it was so good for sampling. Literally bought every other daw beforehand haha.
When I’m on my phone I love koala sometimes the pitch is a bit hard to sink with the knob as it’s not very precise So I’ll take the sample back to bm3 To get it cleaned up tempo wise.
‘update in the coming weeks’
Good to hear about an update coming. I really hope it goes universal but I’m not getting my hopes up
Yay.
Lol, perfect.
@AudioGus as mentioned on Intua forum, i'm thanking you again
Hoping for the best, meanwhile I’ve been enjoying the free MPC Beats on the desktop using the MPK Mini Mk2. (I want an MPK Mini Mk3 with endless encoders LOL).
Apparently an update to iMPC Pro 2 will drop soon too, exiting times indeed
Regarding BM3 that reply was three weeks ago so we can hope for any day now...
...but I know nothing...
Can’t wait.....
The power of BM3 is awesome...
Yes, it’d be nice to see what comes....lazy chop?!
Also would be nice to hear more regularly from developer.....
Midi binding settings per track ...another feature for the future?
Thank you Intua....
Don’t post much in Intua forum, as not many users active enough on regular basis......
Maybe creating a midi pattern from the slicing dialog will finally work consistently. I can never get it to drop a pattern in the sequencer until... that one time it randomly happens. I want to love BM3 a lot more than I do, but there are workflow issues that infuriate me.
iPhone version? 🤣🤣🤣
What a joke
I think the roadmap was a (useless imo) desktop version first.
But it’s great news if it’s true and maybe for the first time new features (hopefully bug free) ,will land
@gregsmith why the negative.Whatever. Does it really matter. Do you know what it was like years back booking an analogue studio. Price , travel etc. Have you experienced purchasing a sampling drum machine in the 80s/90s Nothing less than £1000. You sound spoilt delete your weak comment and smily icon things. A lot of people laugh at the “not on iphone” complainers. The comment is stale .
Personally I would like an iphone version but I’am not going to be negative about it.
It doesn’t matter at all I just find it funny how long it’s been since they promised it. Or released an update.
It’d be great if they do start developing it again. I’ve heard it’s a great app but only really buy universal apps.
😂😂😂 I think, we need BM3 for apple watch 😂😂😂
@gregsmith no worries. Cool
Trying to put the same love I had for BM2 into BM3 and running a project now. No pads, just audio tracks.
wow... there are some anoying issues
No freeze track. ok... i'll just bounce the track to another. But then, I cannot reorder tracks or move the recorded clip to the previous track
Damn intua...
@senhorlampada oh no its the end of the world.
I knew you would be defensive about this. I didn't say it was the end of the world. But come on, even old hardware samplers can move stuff around
Yeah, I agree. That was a bit harsh, @stormbeats.
The new beta has been rolled out just now. Don't have iPad with me currently, but assuming from the description, it looks like at least re-ordering tracks should be added. Also seems like the annoying issue with looping sample set on hold that was cut off immediately should be solved.
Not so exciting, but in the past, Intua used to push updates in "bursts", so let's hope they still have some more stuff in their sleeve. Still, very good sign that they really didn't abandon development. BM3 is really so nice to use and still the best sampler on iOS IMO.
yes - I can confirm a new beta is out in the wild. But it's too early to discuss what new features will make the cut when it gets released.
In other words, there may be more (or less) than is in the testflight notes depending on how the beta testing goes.
I will say that moving/duplicating/re-ordering is one of the areas receiving attention.
I really hope saving and general project & sample management gets some attention too...
...the unsaved sessions and constant sample duplication when doing destructive edits is driving me nuts big time!
While Gadget and NS2 are not 'perfect' at least they have solid project handling without endless unsaved session files and the option to always go back to the last saved session without sacrificing the current state when exiting the apps.
Cubasis 3 has pretty solid project handling as well but suffers from leaving un-needed audio files behind that can not be deleted from the UI (Files.app is needed for that...).
Lately I've been doing most my sampling using the free desktop MPC Beats that 'doesn't get in my way' it just works (apart from a few bugs that I have already reported and gotten confirmation on). Sure, no pitch even lope but I'll just automate the pitch-bend when needed
But yeah, I'll keep BM3 on my iPad without too high expectations on the coming update...
If they make it stable enough to complete a project without crashing, I'll give it another go. First DAW I purchased after much hype and the very first 3 beats that I actually felt like I made progress on crashed and I lost everything. I have since steered away from BM3. Sampling, and the pads mode, as well as the drum roll are really fun and intuitive. Just need it to be stable. Until then, CB3 all the way for me.
