Have you restated your iPad?
A few times.
I loaded SD in AudioBus, though, and that allowed MV08 to work! So that's something. At this point, I can add in Soft Drummer in Cubasis if I can get a performance with everything else.
[ONE MINUTE LATER]
And after quitting AudioBus and Soft Drummer, SD now loads in AUM and responds to the transport.
Working here.... Ableton Link?
Does the brush dragger do much that soft drummer doesn't do?
It's working great for me. I updated today and purchased the 2 new IAP. I'm running iPadOS 13.6
on an iPad 2018 9.7" model. Do you have Ableton Link enabled in AUM and SD? They will report the number of connected apps. The AUM start/stop is working for Soft Drummer and that's great. There are "Sync Start/Stop" controls in Soft Drummer in the Ableton Link pop-up window. It reports "Connected to 1 app but disclose the name and the "browsing wheel" is spinning away.
Maybe to the expert, but not as much as this amateur hoped...
Thnx Johnny, feedback appreciated
It seems to add the slow swirling brush sounds a club drummer would play behind a Billie Holiday ballad. If that's your thing it's worth the $5 but if you don't traffic is slow jazz or blues it might not do much for you. It's tricky to see what new patterns have been added to feature these drummers.
They're in the list but don't have names that associate them with the new Drummer's like the drum kit parts do. Someone may appreciate the Dragger drum parts when used with other more modern styles.
I think most here would appreciate the added complex grace notes that "Clayton" adds.
Yes, finally all In-App purchases are activated ( Drummers and Sounds )
You’re the best of the best! Thanks Luis for all your amazing work on these awesome drum apps!
Ps.. hope your next upgrade is to Rock Drummer. I’m really dreaming of the ability to export midi and audio stems and tracks out can’t wait!❤️❤️❤️
Hello folks, has anyone had problems using Soft Drummer in Cubasis (2) since the update? I’m finding a few issues.
1. Upon pressing record it seems my drummer is still holding a beer and takes a couple of beats to get into tempo. Always a stutter start.
2. He doesn’t do the fills unless I switch out of Cubasis and tweak the x/y jam/intensity slider.
3. Manually triggering a fill in ‘live pads’ gives me a fill but doesn’t switch itself off like it used to.
I use Soft Drummer in every tune and really love it but it just ain’t the same at the moment...
Ta.
Try turning off Ableton link in SD and see if it works. Also make sure Cubasis is sending midi clock out and SD is set to receive it from Cubasis.
I'm wishing for Future Drummer, With the world of IAPs at my fingertip.... Even iBassist IAPs.. Maybe a partner is needed.. Nice.
+1 for Future Drummer
Ditto
FD: Yes, please!
Joe the dragger
Thanks for the Joe the Dragger demo.
I have been intrigued by the graphic.
He has that classic Man With the Golden Arm look.
I am not disappointed.
And, c'mon, a little of Charlie's pursed disappointment also...
@Tones4Christ thanks for the help, I’ll double check these settings 👍
There is that as well. Needs a little bit more bemusement maybe.
I'm not Luis, but. Yes, it does...
Edit.. same as in this video..
Thumbjam has an excellent Harmon trumpet sample.
Thanks... perfect instrumental "mod" to layer over swirling brushes.
Q: Who was Harmon? A player or the manufacturer?
The man that financed the patent application and got 50% credit:

Thank you. Good educationing.
Just stumbled upon a new update for those who aren’t aware 👍
Incidentally, both desktop and iOS versions of GarageBand now have a soft brush Drummer in the style of jazz, blues and folk genre music. I have to admit it really sounds fantastic. I've been playing around with it for the last hour and I'll be using it to expand the dynamic range of drums I've been using recently.
Has anyone noticed that when using Soft Drummer with Ableton Link Start/Stop that a ride cymbal plays when playback starts even if the pattern being played doesn't use a ride? This doesn't seem to happen with IAA sync or MIDI Clock.
Anyway, I am wondering if anyone else is seeing this and if so -- if they have found a solution.
