Whoa, nice! Filter pad too! I really like the way you're doing R/W toggles on the mixer view, that's a nice logical way to control automation without being super confusing coughDM1cough
Looking forward to it! Do we get an ETA?
Looks great! if you run the sale price again I might even buy it :-)
Cool, can you tell me a date of release??
wow, that looks great. Is it possible to automate IAA as well?Modwheel support at least?
And please try to release it as bugfree as possible, cubasis just started to run smooth again after the last update ;-)
What about MIDI CC automation or automation of 3rd party plugins? Nervous that only Steinberg products were shown being automated. . .
Thanks in advance!
My father always told me, "some folks would complain even if you hung them with a NEW rope."/ I understood.

+1, I've asked on steinberg forum too

Problem is,the Cubasis internal FX and instruments more or less sucks so why should we care about them ;-) Anyway,i`m happy to get at least volume automation for every channel.
looking good, but +1 for the MIDI CC automation
Yes, cubasis has been working very well for me also. But then again I really like the instruments included also as well as Nanolouge.
Me want.
Adding the ability to generate, record, and edit MIDI CC would be very nice indeed. But any continued updates of this DAW is good news, imo.
Thanks for the sneak preview - this looks great.
I appreciate the guys always updated this app.. I'm just not a huge fan.. I prefer working in GarageBand than in cubasis
Bring it on! I'm SO ready for this!!!!! :-)
....+1 for MIDI CC automation too. It's essential, and I hope it's in there! Also IAA automation too. :-)
Looks great!
Sometimes a teaser is a little too much of a...well...tease... Would be nice if they gave a little more info re how much automation will be included in 1.8. Maybe they're holding out to see how much they can finish before a set internal release date?
In any case, +1 for MIDI CC and IAA automation. Having said that, even just that in the teaser will be a nice boost improvement-wise.
Great, but please a Sale for buy it is out of my budget rigth now.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
It has gone on sale twice before. I just checked Appshopper and it went on sale last September for about a week and then again for a few days just before Christmas. It might be a while before it goes on sale again
Yeah, I bought it when it price-dropped on Appshopper. I use Appshopper to help track apps I'm kinda sorta interested in, apps that I'm very interested in but don't want to buy yet due to high price (Lemur, Cubasis - both dropped, so I bought!), and to try to control my app spending.
Actually, Cubasis is still the same price now as I paid at launch back in December 2012.
If you see appshopper with more detail and looking their competitor, thats why im hoping for a sale, please, Steinberg people.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I'm all for a sale as much as the next guy. But I will say this. If a 4.99 app goes on sale for .99, I really don't get too ruffled by the fact that I bought it at 4.99. But when an app I paid fifty bones for goes on sale for half price, I'm a little ticked. From my point of view, I think the price of the app is valid. I don't even use the app, but functionality wise, it's as good as they come. Just not my app of choice. I'm sure they'll do sales again, but I think if they do them four or five times a year it cheapens the app. And truth be told, fifty bucks is super cheap for a daw of this quality.
Hello all,
Unfortunately I cannot give an accurate ETA, but any time between now and May, if there aren't any setbacks.
Cheers,
GN

This!!
Please stop begging for a sale and try to keep a little rest of majesty.Steinberg continuously updated the app in one and a half year without charge you for the extras. If you cant or dont like to pay the asking price...well,there are enough (although not as good) alternatives such as beatmaker.

+1.
We are indeed spoiled with the prices on music apps. You can buy a DAW (!) for less than a couple of XLR cables. Recording has never been cheaper.
Also, the developers have no obligation to add more features and spend endless resources on every single update requested by every single user for virtually no money... the only thing (IMO) we can demand is that the app does what thay claim it does. Nothing more.
For those with the need for a full studio environment with all the bells and whistles there's always the option to buy a PC, install Cubase and pack it with VSTs. That'll be a bit more than 50 bucks though...
My $.02.
+another one to what Crabman said. Steinberg even gave us a VA synth for no extra charge, I was very pleasantly surprised by that. And then they gave another monophonic one to all, even non Cubasis users.

Totally agree. Stop asking, start saving!
I only miss Cubasis because because I don't own it. I bought Auria thinking I'm upgrading from the old good Beatmaker 2 but I got burned. I wouldn't go as far as saying 'although not as good' because from what I'm hearing cubasis is a bugbag and I haven't heard many complains about bm2 performance at a fraction of the price. Yes, steinberg ARE updating often but mostly to rectify bugs that shouldn't be there in the first place or to add features that should have been there from the word go.
I read about lots of bugs in BM2 and have rarely encountered any in Cubasis. I suspect the true picture is that both have bugs, but whichever one we use, with a given workflow, they rarely turn up. However, with lots of users with different workflows, the bugs get discovered, then posted about.
