@supadom: Steinberg adressed a lot of bugs in the last update and its running great (again),at least for me.What you"hear"and what you experience by yourself are different pairs of shoes ;-) And its quite objective to say that it has the best workflow from all available iOS DAWs."Bugbag"is simply not true in its current state.Although i hope they beta test the 1.8 a lot before they release it.BM was my first iOS DAW but i already deleted it,the workflow feels SO dated now.Theres just no need for me to look back...

Your finances are really not Steinbergs concern. I might as well ask Bugatti to drop the price on a Veyron as that's a bit above my personal budget. Keep saving my friend. Life's like that![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)

Thanks Guillermo. One question though.
The automation lines in the horizontal tracks that are shown near the end - are they CC assignable? i.e does this automation update cover ability to automate external software, not just Cubasis fx, mixer and micrologue?
Thanks![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Hello,
I still cannot reveal any information about this, probably as the release date approaches more information will come, stay tuned.
Best regards,
GN
Will it have AB2 state saving in some form?
I do just want to mention that sales provide an opportunity for people to try new apps they might not require. For example, I do not have, nor do I need, Cubasis. However I'd love to try it, and have been waiting for a time when I could grab it at a discount.
Not saying $50 isn't a totally valid price, but if it never went on sale again I may never buy it. Which would be fine with me, but Steinberg might prefer otherwise.
That's a thin line. I think they prefer if 60 people buy it for $50 than 100 people buying it for $25 ;-)
Definitely a thin line. But who is to say those same 60 people aren't buying it PLUS the 100 new people picking up a sale?
Just playing devils advocate, I don't necessarily disagree with you guys either but I do wait for sales. Especially on things that aren't big holes in my setup (I still haven't grabbed Gadget
).
Looks good! I really hope as others have said that mod wheel and midi cc is included in this.
I needed no sale as I knew it was going to be my most used app as soon as I spotted it. I saved up and have never looked back. A few bugs after an update got all fixed up and this app really rocks on so many levels. The bundled instruments and loops, the extremely easy editing and setting of loops. The midi implementation that just keeps getting better. No in app purchases ripping me off for continual money out lays either like other DAWS. This is high quality stuff that just keeps getting better and giving me more and more bang for my buck . Thanks to everyone over at Steinberg for this app. Hell even the effects are very useful and with AB I can throw whatever is not there into the chain in the effects slot as well. I am so looking forward to see where it goes from here, (automation is going to be fun also.). It is no small wonder so many people consider this the best DAW for IOS.

Sure. I have picked up a couple of apps on sale or for free myself. Why not? I wouldn't limit myself by waiting for something I really need (or want) over $25 though, but to each his own I guess.

Not sure about this. 100 people talking about it and spreading the word is definitely more effective then 60.

Hi,
Yes, Cubasis will be able to send MIDI CC's to external hardware MIDI devices. Anything that is connected over CoreMIDI will work.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)

That's great news...
Cubasis is doing what the Beatles predicted, "it's getting better all the time"!
I don't care, I'm still waiting for a sale....
It does not matter to us we have this great app already, even if you DON't. heheh. I do not have every single app I would like either I should mention. I am just really glad I have this one that I use every day.
To make it clear: there is a difference between"i can patiently waiting for a sale" and begging like a dog "please please c'mon you have to put it on sale cause i don't want to pay the full price bla bla".
And it still rocks on no matter why the reason.... We shall just remain thankful for it's availability.
Yeah is like people begging for midi or more features, is the same a request and is valid, i think is because people is attached to the old model bussines from PC,s where the developers some of them are far away of the consumer, but in the appstore things are different, but people is always saying the price is nothing compare with a DAW in pc or mac, and i think ok you are not in mac or pc, this is an ipad wake up to the new business model. A new paradigm, and thats why we saw awesome apps like AB or cubasis, i remeber when i bought animoog, day one and it was almost free an is the same awesome piece of synth, and i support developers buying IAP that happen with animoog and now with AB2 and im glad to do it because are really AWESOME apps!!!
I don't know @Zymos but I have enough capable apps to keep me busy for a life time. I hope nobody is actively waiting for cubasis to go on sale. If it does I'll be more than happy to try it out, if not, peace in the shed. Audiobus 2 is making me want to do more live looping stuff rather the 'production' kind of thing anyway.
I agree, begging is fine, just not always fruit filled but hey, ya never know do ya?
@aphex: Yeah,in app store world things are different.True.So lets look into the near future were nobody likes to pay a fix price anymore.Instead we can enjoy consumable IAP's like"using the compressor 10 times?A buck please".This mentality is already killing the game industry on iOS (and not only there).
MIDI CC!!!! WOOT!!!!
@Crabman i agree with you im not saying the future is IAP because thta is killing the iphoneography industry as well, but my point is why some people is "angry" or said an app in sale is bad, i think thats not true, an app in sale is an app in sale like a car, or a tv. What i like about the ios music scene is that more people can have the opportunity to acces to this kind of tools and that is great, and if a buy an app and later the developer put some IAP and the app is great i will buy it instantly because is a win to win strategy.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Btw i earned some money with my music is not what i do but it happens, and i dont do money with food but i like as a consumer when food is on sale.
Very happy for the response on midi CC's - took 4 direct questions, but a great answer!![;) ;)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
Thank you!
@Zymos said:
lol, I hear ya. I wasn't suggesting you shouldn't in my comments. I was just entering my two cents in for the discussion.
@Crabman said:
Totally agree. It's a fine app. If you don't *need it right this minute, makes sense to wait for a sale (though if history is any indicator, that may be a long wait).
That being said, I've started deleting files and apps to make room for this one again ;-)
Awesome, Im looking forward to automation in Cubasis.
But I'll have to ask; Is sidechain compression in the pipeline?
At least it's quite easy to fake sidechain compression with proper automation ;-)
@Crabman said:
That's true. And automation in Cubasis looks way smoother than in BM2.
