Did big SugarDaddy give you a telling off and send you to bed without any supper? 😕
Or are you not allowed to say? 😀

Uh oh, looks like I might be out in the cold with Drumcomputer. 2 GHz processor recommended. Looks like Air 2 process runs @ 1.5GHz. My game apparently will remain unchanged.

Will the Audio Unit requirements be same as the standalone version then? Is it possible that an AU Drum Computer could run on an Air 2 if nothing else is running? (I’ve no idea how the GHz thing works out)

I’m running 2 Air2’s and an Air1. Thankfully I’m in a position to upgrade if needs be - and I would for this.

What’s the next available iPad after Air2 that is 2GHz and has a headphone jack out? - I’m guessing Air3.... or what did they call it?

  • Where art thou, Drum Computer?! Anyone heard anything through the grapevine???

    The 10,2" 8th Gen iPad (6 Cores, 22.5Ghz and 41,6Ghz). It's still got the 3.5mm headphone jack :)

Thank you @Samu. I’m going to buy Drum Computer when it comes out - so I’ll give it a whirl on the Air2 first to see how it goes - I’ll report back on its performance for yourself and others in the Air2 club, maybe help make your mind up 🤔
I’m hoping that an Air2 can hold one instance on own - if not I’ll be upgrading as I said earlier.
    Cheers

Funny how the forum ignores the asterix 2 times 2.5Ghz and 4 times 1.6Ghz is what the A12 does :D
I'm still on an iPad Air 2 as well and sooner or later the battery will die.

It may be able to hold one or more instances depending on how many simultaneous sounds and effects are being used.
The different synthesis methods will likely use more or less CPU so for clean samples and a few effects it may be fine...

I think what Sugarbytes will do here is the same as with Aparillo and Factory, ie. free to try the stand-alone and IAP to unlock AUv3 and more presets.

    Cheers!

Apple still replace Air2 batteries for about £90.
Would the standalone not require more Giga-oomph than the AUv3 though?

    Setting coordinates now captain.
    Engaging warp factor 1/4
Don’t worry if you can’t fasten your seatbelts - there’s a line in to get them sorted.

I guess with the sample import (1.2 update), you don’t have to run 8 synth engines, you can run a combination of samples and synths to take a load off of CPU. I think..
not much videos are done on this update..

Hopefully SugarDaddy is setting up an Halloween sale, hence the delay.. hope the desktop DC goes on sale...too.
