I have hope for a new GarageBand update dropping soonish, there is a notification about a new 'sound pack' but it's for a newer version of GB than the current BG version LOL
(Should mean that we get new sounds for Logic Pro X at some point too).

Yeah checked this about ten times, thought I was going crazy. Haven’t totally lost it yet - good good good lol

  • Title updated 😏

  • I think it’s Logic for Apple Watch

  • Voice command knob adjustments included on version 7.3 two years from now

    :D :D :D . Now you've covered all bases.

  • Potential wallet-drainers are the IAPs for GeoShred but I have honestly no need for them...

Whooooa, buddy. What's up with the poor attitude? That's not the way we do things.

  • Almost!

Then by all means go ahead and get them...

I'm still on an ancient iPad Air 2 and would just have to refund them due to CPU overload and crackle deluxe.
Would still have preferred clean AUv3's instead of locking them into an app that I very seldom use...

So yes, this is how we do it once we've take the red-pill regarding apps...
...instead of staying with the blue-pill and swallowing everything thrown at us :D

  • It’s not that but definitely a welcomed addition

Layr still cpu hungry. No fuzz about it. Moog too. Sounds great, eats cpu. there.

CPU-hungry In what use case? If you use single layer instruments, it seems to use a lot of CPU. For multi-layer sounds that would require multiple instances of other synths, it uses CPU efficiently.

To create the sounds that LayR excels out that other synths can’t, you would need many instances of other synths and those instances would eat up much more CPU than LayR. LayR wasn’t intended as a synth to use when something lightweight could do the same thing.

I doubt you can get 32 oscillators, 64 filters, 96 envelopes, and 64 LFOs going on an iPad 6 and using less than 40% of the CPU with a buffer of 512 with many other synths.

For a lot of use cases, LayR simply isn’t the right instrument.

A semi truck is a gas guzzler but delivering toilet paper with a fleet of cars is worse.

    Two-ply or single?

Normally two but sometimes we get crazy and triple down that brown!

HAHAHAHA!!! You never fail to entertain.

That looks fun, I have a friend who teaches workshops for kids where they learn how to convert old hard disks into bad ass bass machines, he’s got loads of great electro acoustic stuff in his workshop... noisytoys if you want to look him up :)

@Audiojunkie sounds like someone remembers the mighty Babya Logic... :)

Who can forget that trainwreck!! Hahaha!! I'd log in every day to KVR just to catch the next episode of the soap opera that was Babya!! Hehehe!!! Some of my favorite highlights: The "purchase" of Emagic, and Logic Audio, when asked on their forums if they were thinking of suing for copyright infringement--they said maybe, if they could ever stop laughing! Hahaha!!
