That arp is really great sounding, is that the digitalism app?? I seriously was anticipating some chill percussion in this hehe
This vibes hard man!
Yes, the arp is Digitalism 2000. Good call on the percussion; I’ll try that.
Wonderful sounds.
Love this. Feels like somebody told Jon Brion to make a hip hop beat. And I mean that as a compliment!
I love this, but I'm staring at all your modules and I cannot connect any of them with the sound being generated! You're adding a latch to a percussion app, but I hear no percussion! I want to believe! (It doesn't really matter, the sounds are lovely....)
So basically track 1 is the 'master' track. It is generating a random value for every active step in the Euclidian Sequencer. Those values are quantized to C pentatonic, and sent to a Flexi loaded with a Hohner Guitaret sample (5 round robin hits, triggered 'random').
Track 2 is a 'follower' track. It has a Euclidian Sequencer also, driving the rhythm of another Flexi. But the pitch is being sampled and held from track 1 (the CV Quantizer). The timing of the S&H circuit comes from the Gate+Vel Sequencer.
Track 3 is also a 'follower'. Its the same as Track 2, but it's getting the pitch info from track 2's S&H (which is again sampled and held at a different interval in track 3).
Haha, there is percussion - Skaka! But it's just the shaker, and later a bit of tambourine. At first I just used the keyboard "+" button (left side of the keyboard) to latch a C to get the shaker to play. I put the latch module there so that I could move to a new track. I added a 2nd instance of Skaka (tambourine), held it with "+", and then used an lfo to automate its volume on the Master Track.
I've been developing the patch further, adding some more instruments and drums to it. If you got any more questions I'm happy to answer!
This screenshot might be hard to follow haha.. but here’s most of the patch.
Thanks dude!!
@jblock Yeah. Sounds really dope. Are all instruments Digitalism 2000 exept from the bass ( D1? ). Sorry if it’s a stupid question but i’m an AUM guy so i’m not familiar with the ape matrix UI.
Sounds great!. Love the cascading “sample and hold” technique. Actually it’s the first time I really understand what “sample and hold” really does, very witty!. 👍
Dude that is a compliment! I appreciate it that dude makes some great tunes especially for eternal sunshine
Thanks! Yes, the bass is the D1 and the chords and arp are the Digitalism 2000.
Picked up the SWAM Euphonium and the regular Flugelhorn. Both are featured in this piece, as well as a handful of other instruments. All hosted in .....?
That's EXACTLY the soundtrack I had in mind.
@aleyas
Very interesting setup. I wanna try some of it out 😉. What is the forth module in the first track. The one with a curve a scale knob and a bipolar Button?
That's a graphic shaper (odd the title was removed). I used it to set the minimum and maximum note values going into the cv quantizer from the random number generator.
Gate Sequencer / Euclidian Sequencer > RNG > Graphic Shaper > Quantizer > Sound generator is always a winning combo!
@aleyas Thanks man :-). I need to step up my Brambo game 😉
@aleyas , all hieroglyphics to me but sounds darned good.
@Intrepolicious , lovely track, especially like the brass theme towards the end.

Thank you!
I had a response in my head, in case anyone asked about the “long winded” euphonium player; Maybe that’s two euphonium players?
It’s been a while.
Always amazed how fun it is using AUM.
Posted this on the pure acid thread but because it is 303 day i dare to repost it here
And just made it before bedtime here in Denmark
Sorry for reposting AGAIN on this thread :-/. That was not intented.
@Thepixelproducers nice mellow track and i like your visuals :-)
I’m still back and forth on which way to deliver; post audio tracks to SoundCloud, or ScreenCap video sessions to YouTube? I guess I really need to start practicing doing both.
I shared this in its own thread (because I thought it was special - I put a LOT of love into that bass line!), but thought it might get a few more views if I post it here.
Need feedback please. Getting more and more comfortable with “DSA”. Also getting to grips with this amazing CapCut thing...
Nice track. Good melody and arrangement. I like the warm sound and I can hear the love that you put into the bass 😊
I think that the hihat could need a bit of love. I can’t see what app you use for it but I surgest that you play around with the velocity to get some accents and some ghost notes going. DrumComputer from Sugar Bytes is great for that and fun to use.
Nice video effects btw. But i would love to see what else you got in that Drambo rack 😊
Thank you for checking it out! Yeah, I was thinking I should have had more of the full rack on display during the screen recording. The drums for this piece are AudioKit’s AR909, which you’re right, I didn’t do anything with the velocities or probabilities. Only thing I did with the drum tracks is a few pattern switches.
I do have and love Drum Computer, which I use often. On this piece though, I picked the AR909 because of its immediacy (I don’t have to go through drum sounds for hours to find what I want) but didn’t give much thought to the “human” behind the drum set. You’re totally right!!
Maybe a remix is in order, or, I’ll just take what I’ve learned and move on to the next project.
Thanks again!
Nice one @Intrepolicious !. Great vibe. I’ve yet to try and do a piece on Drambo standalone, looks fun.
Super fun! The pattern arrangement tools allow you to build a song quickly by chaining patterns together = works like a song mode to me!
Thanks for giving it a spin!
I didn’t know you weren’t supposed to...
Is it not Ok to post here if you already posted elsewhere?.
I think that it is totally fine.
Been experimenting with a few different ideas.. BLEASS Slow Machine is pretty cool in Drambo! Also, messing around with the graphic modulator in this “Cinematics for Paako” module that I downloaded from patch storage.
Thank you! To whoever it was that made these tools!
