  • Good to see you back and on the road to recovery!

  • Welcome back! Red wine, baby aspirin and a little weed. Fact!

  • ^ All in a sandwich...(we're English!) :) Great to hear from you Doug, and best wishes on your continuing recovery. All the best to Jo too. We all appreciated her updates on your condition.

  • Glad to see you bouncing back, Doug. I appreciate your work.

@thesoundtestroom Doug - that's an awfully high BP !!! Glad you didn't stroke out with that. Wow. Glad to hear you're "OK" even it it means that things will need constant attention ongoing. Take care of yourself - no need to rush back though we so much appreciate your videos. While you've been out of it I for one (I know others) have been mulling various apps - and your videos have been the ones I've landed on more than once for checking them out. Keep up that good work but not at the expense of your health. Glad to hear you've been encouraged by the thoughts expressed here and elsewhere. You've been missed and thought about a lot. Both of you.

  • Hey Doug, I know you're hearing from so many of us that you don't really know, but we know you! You've been a major part of my creative life the last year, as you've been for many of us. So take good care, heal up, and we'll see yuz when you're ready. Blessings on you and Jo!

  • Doug, so glad to hear from you. Add me to the long list of people here (and on other sites) that have never met you, but "know" you through your posts and videos that we appreciate in this hobby/passion/interest that we all share to some degree. We were extremely worried about you and Jo, and while the ongoing medication and concerns are a lot to handle, the fact you're still with us and able to post feels like a victory in and of itself. Especially when it could have been so much worse.

Best of wish to you on a continued recovery, and thanks very much for the update!

  • Doug, great to hear that you're on the mend! Your contribution here has been selfless and immense, which is clearly reflected in all these comments.

  • I was thinking, Doug's been out of work for sometime now. Would it be good gesture to maybe donate some cash? Maybe through his paypal account, if he has one. Thoughts?

  • edited April 2014

Yep, maybe his local bank could set up a trust fund we could donate on line into. The funds might be more versatile in that form.

  • Good news indeed! You've made my day Doug. Welcome home. @mgmg4871: I'm in.

  • Great news! I'm glad to hear that your getting better, we miss you!

  • Yay! Doug is returning. Maybe music can help you to recover. I highly recommend sound relaxation sessions with singing bowls etc. That's very powerful to get deep relaxation. Healing sounds...

  • Honestly guys we are OK money, there may come a time in the future when I really need help but right now we are fine financially, but thank you for the thought, this really is a fine upstanding community of people

  • @thesoundtestroom - Glad to see you back! I hope you have a speedy recovery. :)

  • Doug, good to know you are on the road to recovery. Take it easy, and we will look forward to more vids, but only when you feel up to it.

  • Welcome back Doug. Take it easy mate.

If you can get the bowls to sing to you with soup in them, that's even better...

  • Sending beams of strong and quick recovery to Doug.

  • I prefer singing ice cream bowls.

  • Glad you are doing better Doug. Onward and upward!

This is a good idea! It isn't just Doug that's been having problems in their family. Count me in! :-)

Nevertheless, don't wait until you are in trouble to speak up! Don't let yourself get behind! :-)

  • Sorry to hear about your health problems Doug, I would really recommend looking into upping your intake of raw unprocessed and fresh organic produce. Research shows that all areas where people live over 100 years old more than other places have plant-based diets, are tapped into a spiritual community, drink some wine, have positive perspectives on life, and have exercise integrated into their daily lives. Western doctors have very minimal training in nutrition in their schooling, and research shows that the public even knows more about nutrition then doctors do, so this is very important because it could completely reverse serious health conditions. If you have not already I recommend watching forks over knives, and Gerson therapy. Here's a link to a Ted talk about the habits of the people living in areas of the world where they have people living over 100 more commonly than other areas of the world.

  • As a fellow hypertensive, I have to say while diet, exercise and herbs can all help, sometimes there's no substitute for modern pharmaceuticals. There are tons of options out there, and sometimes it takes a while to find the right one- people react differently.

Glad you are on the mend Doug!

Good to know you're better Doug. Sounds like it's time for some medical marijuana.

Hear, hear... and YAY! More of the best app reviews coming, I hope...!

  • So glad to hear that your home and on the mend officially now. This place just ain't the same without you. And +1 for what @Xprmntr said. Beyond the unprocessed vegetables, I also hear that having a mountain of cash in the bank imoroves your life expectancy greatly. See Monaco.

  • Beets man, red beets. Love your music Doug, don't stop.
