Thanks for the reply. A no-go for a subscription for me, and I think for the most people here.
I think the best advice is wait till december and hope for a discount.
@impete Hello! bought the app 2 weeks ago and I’m obsessed! I have a question. In AUM, whenever I connect a synth to receive midi from wotja, it seems that the synth also receives midi messages that changes the presets. How can I stop that?
In the Audio/Midi+ tab in Settings there are several checkboxes in the Midi Out section.
Uncheck the Send patch changes box
@impete
I have one strange thing happened with Wotja 21. When ever the Mac version of the app shows a update on the Mac App Store the update shows twice or is duplicated for some reason. Any ideas why ?
@UMCorps awesome. Thanks!
Hi! Sorry, I've been away hiking for a few weeks! That just sounds like a weird Mac App Store glitch. You'd probably find it is resolved by a restart of your Mac...
Best wishes,
Pete
Really nailed it with the new advert:

Who is the voiceover guy?
Jeffrey Wright.
You lost me there
Pete
"It's a prism of endless possibilities, where a single choice can branch out into infinite realities. I am the Wotja. I am your guide to these vast new realities."
Haha, of course - I'm now with you
I wonder how the world is going to cope with Wotja 22
Best wishes,
Pete
Well, that was both fun and somewhat discombobulating. Let me try to share the story with you.
I'd been listening to some old King Crimson last night. I was part way through Red when I stopped playing.
I went for a walk this morning, double-tapped my AirPods to resume, and starting hearing a sublime "Frippertronics" soundscape, that I soon realised I didn't quite remember - which surprised me, as I know those albums inside out!
I then thought - Red didn't have Frippertronics so far as I could recall.
I did a double-take, looked at my phone's "Playing Now" and couldn't figure-out what was playing.
After a minute, I realised it was actually playing a Wotja Mix Tim had sent me yesterday, that I'd loaded but not listened to. Wotja was the foreground app when the iPhone was last locked, and that got the AirPod tap "Play" message, and started playing rather than Red.
And then... this is the funny thing... I realised I didn't want to stop the mix and switch back to Red, as I was worried I'd never hear this music again and wanted it to keep playing!
That took me right back to meeting Eno in his offices in London, and listening, waiting to hear what his latest wonderful Koan piece would come up with next over the studio's sound system.
Best wishes,
Pete
Gotta love Bill Bruford!
Gets my vote
I bought "Earthworks" back in the day, from a second hand store and was fascinated by his octopus-like drumming capabilites, and the rather trippy "Fainting in Coils" had me transfixed.
The one for me, was his playing on Cloud About Mercury by David Torn!
Hi Folks, we've got a new Tutorial here - https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/46787/wotja-robots/p1?new=1

Enter the Robots
Looks great - will be sure to check it out!
We hope to be ready to announce Wotja 22 in a few days
Pete
I'm very curious. Are there pleasant surprises in version 22, Pete?
Hoping for new core features\improvements that are generally useful ... that's really all I'd be willing to buy a new version for ... tbh speech synthesis was a cute novelty, but I'd rather development time produced features that end up being essential ... still a killer app tho
Hi @Pierre118 ... I think so.
Our hope is that we'll have it available for pre-order in a few days. You'll see a few surprises in the feature list
Best wishes, Pete
Hi @craftycurate, without hyperbole (!), this is the "biggest" update we've ever pulled-together for Wotja. If you don't find this update essential ... frankly I'd be amazed
Best wishes, Pete
waits patiently..
But for anyone who hasn't got Wotja Pro 21 yet, it's a good idea to grab it while it's on sale so you can run the AU alongside an instance of Wotja 22. (Wotja isn't happy with two AU instances of the same version, but instances of different versions are fine.) Wotja 21 has been such a quantum leap over earlier versions that if you're likely to want to run a second instance (to mix two Flows, or two different tempi) this is the version to have in your back pocket.
Assuming we get the app variants approved on time, we're hoping to put Wotja 22 on pre-order around the 14th - so a feature list will be available at that point.
We're hoping to give early bird discount for a week or two, as a thank you to the Wotja fans who are happy to take the plunge early.
I'm optimistic enough to think that when you see the feature list, it's going to be a no-brainer!
Best wishes,
Pete
Hi Pete,
Have you, or anybody at Intermorphic, been interviewed about Wotja, like in regards to its development, your vision, etc? I’m always in awe about Wotja and how it evolves over the years. Would love to hear or read about these issues. Cheers!
@god once or twice, but we try to avoid it TBH!
There are a couple however, if you look for them... here is one:
https://palmsounds.net/2016/12/31/lets-finish-off-2016-in-generative-fashion-an-interview-with-tim-from-intermorphic/
The history of development of Wotja is kind of ... complicated (!) ... due to the twists and turns taken from starting-off SSEYO, through to getting acquired by Tao Group, through to resetting with our fresh start at Intermorphic. I guess that the various twists and turns have made it what it is!
Here is just one random thing... did you know that a box copy of SSEYO Koan Pro is part of the collection at the Science Museum in London?!
