Not sure about tax in regards to the amount paid, vs. amount you get discounted… you might not get the tax back towards the bundle.

Thanks @MAtrixplan
@MAtrixplan thanks, think I’ll jump in on Sampletron now.
MindMonk is free usually $4.99 - fractal art and a formant synthesizer.

I’ve thought a lot about Sampletron, but choose to get Streetlytron 63 for $7. I would never use the sampling function and the sounds, tho great, would not warrant a $50 Investment for my occasional useage. The only drawback is Streetlytron is not AUv3. Streetlytron Pro offers longer loops and adds Sopranotron, Claire Lindsey violin, Rhodes and harp arpeggio patches.
What was the introductory price for SampleTron previously? Wasn’t it something like $70?
I’d kind of like to get it, but there’s just no way I can spare 3.6 GB of space on any device… not even on my desktop, much less my iPad Pro!
MixBox is at cheapest it’s ever been at $39.99 usually $79.99
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/mixbox-cs/id1530701566
@NeuM i believe it was $69.99 at least that’s what appsliced has listed…
Good grief. There’s no reason to not get MixBox CS now. Great price.
Yes, that sounds right.
Everything in the description of MindMonk is over the top laugh out loud. Same with the one review by EXPERT CEO. 😂
That was its intro price, if I recall correctly
Back down to the intro price, I’d consider that after waiting out the group buy.
You have to think about Sampletron 2 as an instrument in it’s own right. It’s the patches you can create using multiple tape sample sets and assorted FX that makes it especially ‘musical’ beyond Streetlytron. I really like Streetlytron, as much like GForce’s MTron Pro (which is my favourite ‘Tron’ on the desktop) Omenie worked directly with Streetly Electronics to create both 63 and Pro.
But IK have created something far closer to GForce’s MTron Pro with Sampletron 2. It takes the idea of a Mellotron as a departure point for something with far richer creative possibilities.
If you’re only interested in classic Mellotron tape samples it’s a waste of money and storage (and you can download Mellotron samples free online). But it’s far more than the tapes, although even when judged on that front, it has 400 base ‘tape’ instrument sample sets to start with. Which is singnificantly more than Streetlytron Pro. It’s a bit stingy when it comes to the composite presets created from that base set of 400 (you get 100 presets). But those 100 serve as decent inspiration as to the creative directions you can explore with Sampletron.
Yea it wasn’t that great. I deleted.
You are correct I thought it was lower then intro price but it’s the same
You do. I thought into was $44.99 but just looked it up it was $39.99
Arm twisted sufficiently. Are they still putting out regular guest presets?

I’m in the same boat. V tempted by the AU nature of Sampletron but Streetlytron sounds amazing and the extra sounds in Pro are superb. Still have my fingers crossed for it to go AU some day…
No more presets. Only the five sets.

John Potoker
Mark Linett
Romesh Dodangoda

Ugh these sales are killing me… so I’m trying to decide between Mixbox or the Synthmaster 2 all presets bundle ($39.99 or $41 respectively)
I really don’t “need” either one.

Speaking about non-AUv3 nuggets, iOptigan is another fun old school creation created by one of the guys from Waldorfmusic.
https://apps.apple.com/en/app/ioptigan/id1143470101
@Edward_Alexander Probably best to not buy either of them and see how you feel the next time they go on sale.
As you know, we still have the holiday sales to get through over the next two months. Curse these first world problems!
Yes iOptigan is a gem! Even if you never use it in a composition it’s great just to listen to.
Well, that de-escalated quickly.
I guess we'll have to make do with those and the paltry 600 factory presets. Oh, the humanity!
I know right! I’ll hold off and see what happens during Black Friday/Cyber Monday Etc., like you say “first world problems”; there’s plenty of other things I should be worried about.
