Korg Module Pro is $20 off down to $19.99

    https://apps.apple.com/us/app/korg-module-pro/id932191687

I’m pretty sure all IAPs are 50% off too.

Earlier in the year I was going to expand my Korg collection and add a couple of Gadgets, but recently (I think it was on this thread) there was some app mentioned that was cheaper and better than adding to Module. I can’t seem to find that comment. Anyone with a better rememberer than me? Thank you!

Complete guess, but maybe Pure Synth Platinum, or another @GospelMusicians app?

Hi everyone, my first post there:)
I want to buy Korg apps, but only auv3 compatible. But seems like just Module is compatible, isn't it?

To find AUv3 apps You can also use the Audiobus site we are on. At top click on compatible apps page, then filter for AUv3 apps. It’s not every single one, but it gets updated frequently and has the majority of them listed.

It was with reference to MKSensation Xtreme if memory serves right.

    @jonmoore @Poppadocrock Bingo! Thank you!

So the consensus is that PSP is a better bang for the buck than Module? Other than the Gadget compatibility.

Just bought them both and MKS. PSP and MKS have very unnatural acoustic piano in comparison to Module with default packs. But they are the kings of EPs, because of the Gospel Musicians. Module have some a little EPs

By default, the 8 piano soundfonts are stacked together in the piano preset. So yes, it sounds "unnatural" if you don't unselect the 7 others :D

And what is the difference between between PSP, MKSensation Xtreme and Neo-Soul Keys® Studio 2 in terms of sounds quality? (I know that there are only electric pianos in Neo-Soul Keys)

Are the electric pianos in MKSensation Xtreme good?

It depends what you want. PSP has a much wider range of sounds than Module, more comprehensive editing abilities and a better FX section than Module.
You’d need to buy a lot of IAPs in module to have the same variety of instruments as PSP.
Module has a more user-friendly interface and is probably slightly better for live playing.

However, I’d say they are different enough to justify getting both.

  • However, I’d say they are different enough to justify getting both.

The consensus of this forum is always ‘buy all of them’ :D

Regarding sound quality, it’s the same.
In MKSx, you get a selection (kind of « best of ») of each GM app content. In NSK2, you have many EP samples, including mechanical noises. In MKSx, you only get a few of them (but quite enough!) but also some of FM Tines and PSP.
If you still don’t have any of GM apps, MKSx is a good choice to start.

And the other, classic Forum viewpoint of "this is the best, the only filter/delay/reverb/whatever you'll ever need" and then a few months later new product by Bleass is released and suddenly it becomes "the best, the only filter/delay/reverb/whatever you'll ever need", and then another new product is released by Fab Filter and it becomes "the best, the only filter/delay/reverb/whatever you'll ever need" and then a few months later a new product is repleased by Eventide and it becomes "the best, the only filter/delay/reverb/whatever you'll ever need".... and so on.... all mixed with the moronic cry of "instabuy"

    Lol.

One difference is size. PSP ( 8gb+ Possible IAPS) and MK (12gb) are much larger in size, but you can store sounds/downloaded content and play from an external hd or SSD.

    KMPro is 1.2Gb + IAPs

Welcome. yea there is only 2 Korg AUv3 apps at the moment. But this entire forum has its fingers crossed that more will follow.

Hell yeah. The amount of times I've nearly bought Mono/Poly just in case in goes AU in the future...

I keep thinking the same about the odyssey one…

Same here. I feel like Korg is missing out on a decent amount of sales by not implementing AUv3 on a majority of their iOS products. I know that’s what is holding me back. I would absolutely buy the Mono/poly, MS-20, Polysix and Odyssey if they were AUv3.

Korg is certainly more aware than any of us what it would cost to develop AU versions and how many they would sell. I think it is safe to say that their forays into AUv3 with Module Pro and Electribe Wave probably provide them with the information they need to make an i for,ed decision.

No consensus here. Module Choir, Kaypro Orchestra and American D piano set it apart from the equally useful PSP.

Well, of course… but I want the AUv3 version! :D

It’s probably a good thing for me because I don’t feel the urge to purchase them (and don’t really “need” them). Between software and hardware synths I’m pretty well covered. Buuuttt… I’d absolutely still buy them. Lol
