I do think they are, just did a little test in Drambo and it works very well, including smooth modulation and automation of parameters

Dual VCF has nice 'Drive' option and plenty more filter models (Comparable to TB FlowTones)...
...I guess both apps have their use-cases :sunglasses:

All I know is the the Fabfilter One 'filter' is one of the creamiest digital filters things I've heard, don't know what 'mo-jo' they put in it...

  • @samu got the timeless and the Saturn plug and I will fall for this one too. a "no one knows what kind of magic is inside" thing is right up my alley haha. Cant skip a good filter

The rest of the Geoshred SWAM IAPs are out
but I think it’s normal price right now?

They are on a slight discount… saw something earlier. Oh it’s here. Yes the bundle is $10 off for a little while.

If FabFilter follows their typical pricing strategy, there won’t be an initial sale price if Volcano 3 drops for iOS, but there’s a first time for everything. 🤞

Looks like Timeless was reduced for a few days when it was released, according to appsliced:

    https://appsliced.co/app?n=fabfilter-timeless-3&l=list

  • According to ABF, Timeless 3 was released on May 27th with a price of $24.99:

    https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/45350/fabfilter-timeless-3-by-fabfilter-released/p1

App Slices shows the first price reduction occurred in July:

Oh you’re right… I had misinterpreted the appsliced data. Probably worth hanging on then when Volcano 3 comes out.

  • It looks like those sale prices are also back on Synthmaster 2. Must have been either a system glitch — or a Ghost in the Machine…

  • Yes, I've just bought all SM2 IAPs for 34$!

Does this IAP add 2000 presets to the (almost) 1950 added by the 4,99€ "Desktop Presets Upgrade" IAP, for a total of nearly 4000 presets ? 🤔

  • The one billion presets of synthmaster, a very long short story by Isaac Asimov 😆

I thought they might be since they were still advertising it in the App Store

Skym - Midi Controller for Mac Daw’s & hardware dropped $1 down to $3.99

Anyone using Skym? Keen on some opinions. It's a pity Logic Remote doesn't include something similar.

I bought it and played with it some already. I was really torn as to if I regretted the purchase or not. Mostly because LK has a similar IAP component that does essentially the same thing. I played with it controlling Logic and it's pretty simple and fun. I too tried out Logic Remote to see if there was something already built in, but the XY pads in in Remote seem to only control it's own effects. I could be wrong about that.

The demo video for Logic setup shows it being used to control EQ. I set that up according to the video and it was kinda cool to have your whole iPad screen as a simple XY controller. I decided for $3.99 it was worth keeping... at least for me.

ps. since I bought it a couple days ago, there's already been an update adding some gate/pulsing effects that I haven't tried yet. I only mention that because it's evidently still being developed/improved/maintained

oh man from the pictures on the shop site I assumed this was an app that made use of the apple pencil...is there such a thing?

I'm thinking of an XY pad that also has the pencil angle and pressure as two extra variables.

It does use the pencil. It says either 2D or 3D in the app. If you have apple pencil capability, it says 3D. I haven't tried the pencil function out yet though. The app has a pressure sensitivity setting also, but as to whether it also responds to the angle of the pencil, I can't say just yet.
