yeah, you can set the seconds as long a you want.especially when it comes to instruments with long sustain.

the.
BM3 is a fantastic sampler. if they ever port to AUV3, it would be game changer for real.
with BM3 you could also sample just a note from Omnisphere and time stretch it so you can play it at different octaves without the sample speeding or slowing down. this is good for pluck instruments and helps save storage on the iPad.
My current AudioLayer presets are at 15 GB
Thanks @Paa89
You suggest to sample one note only from Omnisphere and use it with bm3 ? Or making the way you did with every note via audio layer ?
And what length do you suggest for a note ?
Thanks to you, it’s very useful
Would love to hear what styles of music goes with each list!
Haha. A lot of ninth place winners there.
Gadget
iWavestation
ODYSSEi
Module Pro
Electribe Wave
iMonoPoly
iM1
iMS20
iPolysix
I could switch iPolysix for AudioShare but that would disturb the brand loyalty
I can’t work within 9 apps. Ever. Here’s the app list for a techno track I am working on. And I haven’t moved it into BM3 yet to work on drums, resampling, automation, delays, EQ, compression etc. It will be a completely different selection of apps tomorrow...
AUM
Rozeta Bassline
Atom Piano Roll 2
DRC
Mela
Magellan 2
FAC Chorus
FAC Transient
Pure Acid
PSA 2000 Jr
Toneboosters Reverb
Troublemaker Modded
Motion FX

I'm fairly new to music production in IOS but I have been using the iPad to experiment with effects and practice improvisation for years.
1) AUM - for improvisation practice and experimenting with effects, duh.
2) Auria - I make strictly audio music (no midi, so far) and I'm happy with it.
3) Tune Maker - I wanted a composition sketchpad and this one works for me over other ones I looked into.
4) TE Tuner - an amazing tuner that allows for tempered tunings which is necessary for pedal steel guitar. Also, a great metronome and drone player.
5) Midi Camera - I'm making instrumental videos and this is the only app I know of that uses wireless BT to trigger my iPhone camera from my DAW.
6) LumaFusion - see #5.
7) AnyTune - transcribing
8) Beat Time - I play flamenco and this metronome specializes in those specific 12-count compas (rhythm cycles) that most metronomes can't handle
9) Guitar Toolkit - the oldest app in the group is still the best that I know of for mapping out notes in custom tunings. I play a lot of instruments in a lot of different tunings and I use this constantly. It also has a "reverse" search feature, that I haven't seen anywhere else, where you can tap notes on the fretboard and it will tell you what chord/scale you are building.
Honorable mentions that may not be the best in class:
iReal Pro - I've used it many times to work out parts over a progression with an instrument in hand. There are probably better apps for this, as I'm not really using it to learn existing standards as it do the majority of users.
Chordbot - same
Amp modelers: Necessary but I still haven't decided which is the best. For a while, I favored Bias FX, but now it's either TH-U or Gain Stage Vintage Clean.
I dig this brand loyalty- it’s a world unto itself, like the Marvel Comics Universe. Awesome.
I’m tempted to try restricting myself to this list for a while.
Also I appreciate reminders about the “glue” apps like AudioShare (and AUM, and of course our forum-host-app, Audiobus). It’s hard to remember these because they’re the basis for everything. Ask a fish “how’s the water” he’ll say “what water?”
Is AudioShare still necessary now that we have the native "Files" app?
It's not as 'essential' as it was once back in time, at last not for me...
Just about the only use case I have is to manage recordings from AUM since AUM doesn't yet have an 'option' to set where the recordings are saved.
AUM 'Projects' can already be saved to a folder visible in Files.app but the the 'audio recordings' get shoved into the AudioShare storage-container. I would prefer to keep the AUM Project and Audio Files in one folder neatly tucked in the AUM folder under Files.app.
The irony here is that if I remove AudioShare the AUM recordings still go to AudioShare storage provider but it can no longer be accessed since the FileProvider Extension no longer exists. (AUM can still 'see' them).
That's my take, hopefully both AudioShare and AUM will receive some developerlove during 2021...
3 simple little apps all I need
miRack
MixBox
AUM
1] BM3- My MPC until I buy an actual MPC. Nothing is close to BM3 for beat making... especially for non-4OnTheFloor music.
2] AUM- Experimental / improv jamming with random apps... need to control things [via usb controllers] at the same time.
3] MiRack- To connect to my 84HP rack, generative sequencing to HW , evolving modulations to HW, Clouds, Plateau reverb, Shift Registers, everything.
4] Korvpessor- My MonoStation and Eurorack produce signals which need to be calmed TF down at times.
5] GoToEQ- Stupid simple EQ.
6] Xythesizr- Evolving generative patterns.
7] Patterning2- Evolving generative rhythms.
8] Bleas Reverb- Performative Reverb. Fun AF.
9]Zeeon/Continua/DRC- I dunno, I can't decide which is my Desert-Island plugin.
Agreed. I don’t need AudioShare unless I’m using AUM but I need AudioShare if I’m using AUM.
