Where in the hell did this come from holy God I love Mela 1
Upgrade or new app?
New app, on initial pricing of $9.99, which is 33% off it’s not just a Synth but also several effects units packed inside.
I think I got to get this I’m a huge fan of Mela one and this thing looks like Mela on steroids, or even Adrenochrome, lol. That will be funny if you saw the South Park Vaccination Special.
I'm still trying to find the time to learn Mela 1
Edit: was interested but seems you need iOS 14
wow! Sounds, sounds, sounds please
I love when an app comes packed with several AU’s inside. Rozeta was probably the first, can anyone confirm that? it feels like you get more for your money, when you buy 1 app but actually get 5, even 10 AU’s inside 1 app. Sweetness.
Looks like this is the video highlights for the app:
Been beta it, it’s a beast and another classic.
Amount of Presets? That was the only criticism I had of Mela. There were a few free packs out there though.
Great to know @Jumpercollins im on the verge of purchase.
Only 4.4 mb, dang.
Any Random Preset creation? I’m being lazy, lol. Didn’t see it when I quickly skimmed the release notes.

haha, you guys are fast spreading the news. Mela 2 was just approved a few hours ago. Still waiting for the Mela 2 upgrade app bundle to get approved by Apple. Here's a blog post with some details:

Please let me know if you have any questions. It's late here and going to head to bed soon. But I'll answer your questions in the morning.
Cheers!
Nikolozi
There are some new factory presets (more to come). But all Mela 1 presets will import and work great in Mela 2. Here are some packs Audiobus musicians made last year: https://nikolozi.com/blog/artist-presets-for-mela
Also, I hear Sound Of Izrael has big pack of presets ready for Mela 2
Anyone interested can directly buy it from him. Would be awesome to support a great artist like that.
I’m excited @Nikolozi i really enjoy using Mela 1. It’s One of the apps that I really enjoy for both sound and trying out my novice sound design skills. No rush, I shall look for your answers on the morrow. Congrats on the release.
Oh snap there’s an upgrade bundle coming. Thanks for the heads up man.
iPhone support! @Nikolozi you hero! I have mela 1 but haven’t used it much as I start most of my ideas on iPhone
Woo on bundle, thanks! My primary iPad is still on 13, so will get with bundle, so I'll have when eventually upgrade.
Shame it's iOS 14 only ... still holding out with 13 because of the AUv3 issues that don't seem resolved.
If you mean the one where AUM occasionally reports you have no auv3s installed, it happens to me about once a week and I just reboot my phone/iPad. It’s no biggie
@Nikolozi thanks for your hard work. I will definitely not wait for the bundle. You deserve this money for this synth. Keep it up and thanks for all.
Thanks ... wasn't sure where this issue was up to. If it's as easily sorted as that I might just take the plunge. Good to reboot fairly regularly anyways when using the iPad for real time work.
Wow, fully responsive UI inside the AU. Great stuff! I love the looks of it, going to check it out.
What about the CPU usage? Mela 1 is great but very heavy....
@Nikolozi love the effects in particular! One thing I can’t figure out is how to change the delay times. Am I missing something or is it fixed? I can see it’s synced to tempo.
Can it resize horizontal. Think Id favour all apps horizontal. Scrollable or pages like shockwave etc. Just for another app/apps to be horizontal. Ideally apps that work well with less than half screen. Not quite a 3rd.
The interface is very nice, arguably better, but how is it different beyond that? I’m using the same presets for both and can’t seem to tell the difference. Looks are important, but can anyone tell if the sound is better/different?
I’ve been beta testing this and have to say that the performance view is really nice! Get just the controls u want right up top for quick editing! Make use of that for sure!
Sure, and I don’t mean to poo poo it. Did you notice any other differences?
