Thx. Just installed. Like the bowing pad. Just got this strange behaviour hitting higher part of the notes using in AUM not making any sound when they work as standalone. Also using geoshred as a controllar got me some missing notes if I press higher part of the pads.
    We need a midi mp3 recorder now😂

    Same for me. Fingers crossed...

  • Added email ( sigma )

Im the guy who added blueboard/kb-1 and mapped loads of parameters. I think Id demo apps good. Id show app just with app and then potential for people who cant afford a seaboard.

The way Im speaking Im assuming Id get a free app but dont mind to demo.

  • Once Double Bass is released it’s mine!

  • Same here ! Double bass and cello !!!

  • This is one bundle that would be worth buying. Viola plus double bass not on GeoSWAM. Already looks and sounds better (more parameters) than GeoSWAM..

I’m on this beta as well. I might be wrong, but it seems like they accelerated the beta testing for iOS SWAM strings. I was under the impression they had no announced date or timeline for iPad release, only desktop. So far I like what I’m hearing and I’ll definitely be buying the Violin and Cello.

I would imagine this beta will be shorter than the brass one since they used that Beta cycle to figure out a lot of iOS framework issues like preset handling and stuff.

You are probably right about that abbreviated timeline.

I do love the iOS SWAM Trumpet and Sax apps I got for iPad, however there is still no obvious way for these instruments to utilize MPE function with the built-in GarageBand keyboard (unless there is something I’ve overlooked... and I have turned on the GB MPE setting in the Settings). And I have great difficulty trying to play any of the SWAM instruments using their own keyboard, as it is not resizable. I have a feeling the developer only expects musicians to use an external keyboard, but that is not always the case. I’ve been using the built-in GB keyboard almost exclusively for nearly 10 years at this point.

Buy Velocity Keyboard app.. Its awesome for playing such SWAM MPE instruments. Other alternative is Geoshred..

The SWAM keyboard is resizable. Tap on the keyboard icon and a popup pops up with three sizes. IMO, their keyboard integrates beautifully with their app in a way that other on-screen keyboards probably can’t.

If the GarageBand keyboard integrates well with other MPE apps, maybe you could make a short video and demonstrate that and send a link to it to Audio Modeling via the TestFlight app.

I do have GeoShred, so that is a possibility. GeoShred has no velocity sensitivity, which prevents me from making it my first choice. So I might have to give Velocity Keyboard a shot.

Tried with 2 different emails, first last night, nothing, a second attempt this morning with the same email address + another one, nothing :( (of course I checked the spams)

    Anyone else ?

Maybe they have enough people now?

Have you really read the rules for Betatesting Swam Solo Strings?

Oh thanks for the info :)

@NeuM not sure if they can impose limitations on TestFlight once the URL is made public 😉

Because I'm an idiot, I originally missed the bit where you have to tick the Spam Me box to get the actual invite. They didn't do that with the Brass beta.

You don’t need velocity for a string sound. GS will work better than Velocity KB for these patches due to finger expression.

My experience with Velocity Keyboard is much better with these SWAM instruments. Almost no stuck notes. Geoshred gives stuck notes many times especially when playing fast with glides. Also velocity keyboard is much cheaper than GS. Considering all these factors I recommended velocity keyboard also. Yes velocity sensitivity not needed for SWAM, it can be used for Piano very well which I had hard time playing with Geoshred.
