Did you use the sampler, (the third section) and change the kick sample, either to a different factory one or a loaded sample
No sale price in Sweden..yet...
This was the investment that made me realize I will have to build custom kits from Drum Drops and put effects on them, if needed.
I'm in the middle of that project. I wish a bunch of us would zero in on Audiolayer and Drum Drops and map them, etc.
This is true. The randomization is astonishingly usable.
👍
Run, don’t walk!
I have been happy to use DC in many sessions because i like the sound. but if I need a nice punchy kick I would use another app. And that is a shame because DC consumes more than enough CPU allready.
Also the sequencer has a lot of cool features but I really miss realtime recording.
Last night I was looking through the Drambo factory presets and discovered some really very usable/tweakable kicks and snares. Patchstorage also has a great clap for Drambo.
Part of me wants to get Drumcomputer - part of me suspects that if I could truly master Drambo all percussion possibilities are taken care of...
p locks lol.
They are both great and bring different kinds of pleasure. ❤
Drambo is a modular box, and customization is its strength. Pros might use Drambo to implement organised cool ideas.
While DrumCom is about randomization on drum sounds and patterns. With few taps, beginners like I will instantly get usable drum kits and patterns and build loops of various genres even without mastering them.
Take a good sleep first.😂 I don't think SugarBytes has done flash sale before, so the promotion will last for days.
I like it a whole lot, but then I am a sugar plum fairy for Sugar Bytes apps...
@ExAsperis99 what do u reach for on iOS when u want a nice punchy kick?
Pure Acid + PSA 1000 Jnr (Deep Kick preset) + FAC Transient (Punchy Drums preset)
I find that i use DrumComputer for almost all my drums these days. PlayBeat is also a regular drum machine in the rotation.
Thanks, I love psa1000, never thought to use it with transient. And Pure Acos is one of those few apps I don't actually have.
Great question. SeekBeats sounds the best to my ear. Drambo’s AN kick is very good. I often just rely on Ruismaker to get a sound going and get used to it. BM3 has good kits but it’s a hassle to just use it for drums. I mean, I really want to like Drum Computer! So convenient. I just think it’s not for me.
Well, I think Moog Model 15 is capable of making a good punchy drum kick. It's mainly a synth though.
Could use DrumCom to sequence Model 15 and mute the original kick track.
But Model 15 is also a dsp devour-er.😂
Anyone seeing the sale price in the US yet ?
For those that claim to not like the sounds That come with the app
you can process the drum sounds through hardware or other apps
like FabFilter Saturn, WOW2 sugar bytes, FAC Maxima, Lo-FI Dirt etc.
then bring that kit into Patterning 2 for a unique drum pattern
I used Patterning 2 and PlayBeat and Elastic Drums. I’m a glitchy type of musician when it comes to drums. I like for them to feel broken and unstable in my tracks so these 3 suited me well until DC came on the scene.
I also relied heavily on GrooveBox and would mangle the samples from the stems I’d create in there.
No. Never used it, but for $4 i will now 😉
Wow. That UI is nuts.
Does DC have multi-out? Or are you talking about putting effects on the whole pattern? I actually had forgotten that even though SeekBeats is IAA, it does have multiout, and it's pretty easy to make an eight-drum template* in AUM, each with whatever transient shaper or saturator or effect you like.
I don't know if I'm "claiming" to not like the sounds. Some are OK, a lot feel like they're going to be really dated in a year or two. To me, anyway.
*Not the focus of this thread, but boy I wish I could group my drum kit channels in AUM and collapse them to gain more real estate. Sigh.
Bro, this ..so much! I’ve also requested collapsible / foldable groups numerous times. With multi-out apps it’s especially relevant. A lot of channels I just set and forget, and many adjustments can be made from within just one ‘instance’ of a multi-out app. This sole feature would make Aum so much easier (and less cluttered) for me to use. My sessions in Ableton would be a mess without group folding..
So after all my kvetching, I thank you, Drum Computer cult members. I went in and found some good sounds and made a neat beat.
One question: How do I remove that kind of annoying tape-stop effect every eight bars??
Where in Vietnam are you located my friend?
Cheers
