For the amount of effort real content provides I don’t begrudge ads. It’s the bullshit that drives me mad.

I have a major problem withpeople wasting my time and cluttering up my legit search for info with mere fluf, and then we have folks expecting us to expose ourselves to weeks months…. Years of psychological coercion and cultural norm shifting over a lifetime so they can earn $1 a week. NO. Then as if thats not enough they want you to make fake posts to social media to enter bunk contests. Its just a bulshit cycle. The net should be comprised of legit data we are searching for by people knowledgeable and passionate about the shit they do. i can support that but I cant find those people through the noise!!!!! Compare it to “cable tv” are you serious? I have never watched cable tv, my parents despised it and I grew up as an outsider looking in, thinking you all lost your minds! Specially now, with this new model of norm shifting where legit science is being polluted with just the same shit leading to all manner of antivaxers and snakeoil salespeople, NO, absolutely not with my support.. Ive always avoided being shaped by fake news and recently new gen facebook tracking when I dont even use fb and spyware adware trash. Thankyou GDPR!!!!! As for anyone who expects us to sit through adverts to watch your fluff so you can earn your gold star token, NO. But Its nice to know where you are coming from. I much prefer the library model of sharing free open access to data and folks who are not self proclaimed experts trying to make a buck by ruining a good thing. All that spyware and shit brought the world trump, and tobacco industry and shoot em up “games” to convince our kids life has no fucking value. America, Hongkong, Japan, the adverts captitals of the world, I wouldn’t wish them on my enemy. Here in Sweden fortunately they limit companies from just bombing us with billboards and spam everywhere we go. My money is not available nor is my attention or my time. End rant.

I used to be all about cracked software, had it not been for us companies like FL and Ableton have admitted they wouldn't exist. When apple made prices come down where software was available to everyone rather than those with $700 to spare not including plugins….. I stopped downloading cracks and I have bought way more apps than most of the folks here. I support everything that comes from folks like Audiobus and Intua and Audiokit, ( opensource ). This debate has gone for ages. When the industry come in and hijacks our culture we cant just blindly roll with the punches, we gotta come back with knock out blows. Otherwise we wouldnt even have what we have today, we would have some limited selection of cable channels to stare at, sorta like what youtube has in mind with the net neutrality battle.
