I think I FINALLY understand Drambo, lol, but I do have a couple questions.

F***! I finally figured out the velocity thing. Thank goodness.

Since this thread has been resurrected, can you remember how you solved this? I have a one shot snare in a one bar sequence, tried putting ghost notes in using velocity in the sequencer, and nothing happens! Probability works fine, though.

If you’re using the “Shot sampler” then add an AMP module
afterwards and use Velocity to modulate volume.

    For example

    Thank you!

    No worries.

Sorry mate, I can't remember. It's been a long while since I opened Drambo since I find it easier to make Ambient in AUM. 😅 Just being honest.

Serious question, is there anything drambo CAN'T do? I've seen buchla synths, all sorts of crazy stuff made inside drambo, I've done some simple things and want to dive in further, but are there some limitations or missing things stopping people from doing anything they want inside it or is it pretty much comprehensive!?

I've been deep diving for awhile now and I can confirm
it is pretty much comprehensive and there are few things that it cannot do.
My personal projects this year started exploring replicating real synths.
I made a couple of projects inspired by the Korg Volca drum machines
and even more recently a synth inspired by the Behringer Crave.
One of the really fun projects that I did was building my own DFam
using a Behringer X-Touch and I had a ball with that one.
My projects don't sound precisely like these synths/drum machines
however they are certainly a lot of fun to play around with
and I now have an even deeper understanding of how those synths work.
Kudos to those designers for sure.
I'm currently exploring interfacing dRambo with EuroRack and it's amazing.

This is really good news. I have to devote some time to properly understanding it I think. Thanks for your reply!!

No worries also it's time to mention that I'm offering private 1:2:1 lessons
for dRambo and eventually YouTube tutorials for some of the designs that I've made.
There's also a thread over on the Beepstreet Forum titled "Interfacing dRambo with EuroRack"
where I'm sharing some of the challenges that I've come across
and posting occasional utilities which I'm currently honing.

  • @sevenape
We’ve both mentioned that dRambo can do a lot of things?
Well, I’ve just made a CV tuner for EuroRack stuff.
The utility basically acts like guitar tuning knobs for oscillators and self resonating filters.
It sounds really simple but it’s one of the most complex presets I’ve done so far.
Thought I’d let you know. :)

Oh wow. That doesn’t sound simple to me AT ALL! If I ever get some free time I would be interested in lessons! That’s something to think about definitely.. thanks!!!
